And I don't just mean myself! First impression of Chester, Warrington Road? Unloved. Forgotten. Dated. Scruffy. Have stayed in several Travelodges in the past and had no complaints whatsoever. This one appealed because it had parking facilities, was in a rural location and close to all the attractions we wanted to visit. Arrived at hotel to dump luggage at 3pm... More

Stayed here Monday night with my wife, we had been out all day and booked in around 6 pm, easy checking, easy access of the motorway, and friendly staff, the rooms were a little dated but very clean and tidy, not your average travelodge room, more like a private run hotel room with nice little touches! There's a nice Toby... More

We had booked a family room online, as three of us were attending a family funeral in Chester. Coming from Scotland by car, we wanted a place to change and unwind before the event. One of us was the sister of the deceased, particularly close, and the occasion could have been traumatic. The funeral was to be at 3pm, and... More

Arrived late after long journey and expectations were very low. Haid paid low price as only wanting a bed for night to break up journey. Arrived to find man smoking on steps who turned out to be night receptionist, not in uniform. Room was basic but as expected, no TV remote and only one towel between 2 guests. Had heard... More

The outside of this Travelodge was very tatty with wasps nests outside the windows on the first floor!!! Upon arrived at Reception we were told that the linen company had not delivered the towels but fortunately I had brought some from home. The walls are paper thin. Our room was quite quiet but unfortunately my son's room was very noisy... More

From the outside grotty from the inside grotty.......our room was ok cleanish if you don't look to hard. Hole in the wall where someone must have torn a picture off at some point. 1 pillow guys also no TVR valves to turn down the heating on the radiators with no room stats. Staff on reception friendly and willing to help.... More

This place looked quite grotty on the outside but inside was very clean and better quality than some TL. It is attached next to an excellent Toby Carvery and pub where you can get a cheap all u can eat breakfast for £3.99 and a buffet in the day/evening time for £5.99. The rooms were quiet and warm and we... More

We were lucky enough to get this at £19. Like most Travelodges, it isn't perfect but it is certainly better than most! Our room was quiet but needed a good dust! Toby Carvery next door was very good for both evening meal and breakfast.

We picked this hotel as it could accommodate 3 adults and a baby. We easily fit it the travel cot that we brought with us. Check in was quick and room was ready on time. Room was clean. Everything was great until our 2nd night when a large group of young people moved in next door. After screaming, door slamming... More
