My husband had booked a suprise week-end in Chester for my Birthday. We arrived at HHH on lovely sunny Friday evening and were met by the charming lady owner, who was very helpful in ordering taxis and offering hints and tips for the days ahead. She then showed us to our room which was soptlessly clean, spacious & light with a... More

My wife and I stayed at Higher Huxley Hall for the weekend and was a real gem! Very friendly, the rooms were spotlessly clean and for us, in a great location! We would highly recommend Higher Huxley Hall! And the home made shortbread is absolutely fantastic! More

The owners of the B&B could not have been more accomodating, truely lovely people who are very good at cooking breakfast!! If you need to stay in or... More

I love staying here, always a friendly welcome, spotlessly clean, super breakfast, spacious accomodation. The nights sleep disturbed only by songbirds. Yet the hustle and bustle of Chester is just a ten minute drive away....a cab drive cost me £11! A must if you stay here is to book a table at The Farmers Arms also known as Stuarts Table....they... Welcomed by owner on arrival who also was most helpful with directions to where we wanted to go that evening. Breakfast next morning was delightful served in a beautiful dinning room with period features. Beautiful quiet part of the countrside with easy access to Chester, again helpful directions given by owner. Best - Exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, everything you could... More

Spent a couple of nights here while attending a local football match so my partner had more time to take advantage of the tranquil location and ambience. Very peaceful and a top notch breakfast. Certainly recommend especially with the close proximity to Chester and all that city has to offer, close by, but a world away. More

My wife and I stayed for two nights - I went for a track day at Oulton Park; it was very impressive right from the first moment we were greeted. The rooms are full of antiques and the house dates from the 13th century. An Elizabethan staircase leads to the beamed bedrooms. Breakfast was cooked for us at 7 am... More
