We spent a night at The Blossoms in Chester in May 2012. It is situated right in the middle of this very well kept and living medieval town, just 50 mtrs from the famous bell tower (the second most photographed bell in England after Big Ben). What a great place to stay! Our room was spacious (30 square metres) and... More

Last week we stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and could not fault anything. All the staff were very polite and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. I had only booked it the night before and when we got they they did not have the reservation but sorted it immediately and booked us into a room... More

Had only booked one night and on arrival saw there was so much to do needed another night but unfortunately they were booked out. Due to this we were upgraded for the one night to an "executive suite". Richard was very professional and friendly and was disappointed that he could not accommodate our 2nd night request. Was put into room... More

The weekend before our stay we had got married and so this weekend was to be a mini-honeymoon. My husband had planned the whole weekend as a surprise for me and had taken his best man’s recommendation to stay at your hotel. On arrival, we waited about 10 minutes while the receptionist was on the phone. We weren’t acknowledged until... More

Went to Blossoms for afternoon tea for Father-in-laws birthday. Couldn't fault the service, brilliantly helpful staff. Quality and quantityof the afternoon tea was great - been to many places for afternoon tea and this is by far the best. More

Honestly this hotel doesn't deserve it's four stars, barely a three. Lets get this straight THERE IS NO DEDICATED BAR, 3 tables in the restaurant is all that they offer, and we arrived at 10:15pm it was closed and dark . The staff were helpful and got us a drink, but most residents took them to their rooms. The food... More

We stayed here on a Saturday night break, which was a xmas present from my sister. We paid £159 for 2 including breakfast and stayed in a suite (room 220). We would not normally pay this much but as we had a voucher decided to treat ourselves. The location could not be better as once you have parked your car... More

We have stayed at many Macdonald Hotels and found this lacking. The breakfast was fine but the evening meals were disappointing. The main problem is the menu is mainly steaks & pub classics. The latter is not accpetable in a 4 star hotel. The first night I had chicken & chips! The chips had been reheated and were soggy and limp.... More

If you don't want the flash or expense of the grosvenor then this hotel is for you. It is simple and affordable. We paid £95 for 2 incl breakfast. The hotel room was on the small side but had everything we needed. The location is what will sell this hotel to you. Literally 3 doors away from the grosvenor. We... More
