Karen and Richard made us feel that nothing was too much trouble, we received a warm welcome and offered a welcoming pot of tea. We stayed here for two nights in June in the House Kingsize room which is quite spacious and very comfortable with a kingsize bed. They have used plenty of "attention to detail" such as plenty of... We had four nights here and thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation. We would thoroughly agree with the comments that others have made. The accommodation is beautifully kept, the breakfasts are wonderful, Karen and Richard are friendly and welcoming, and to top it all Manderley is in an ideal location for visiting the city.

Manderley is situated in a quiet affluent area within walking distance of the suspension bridge close to the centre of Chester. On our arrival to this beautiful house we were offered a welcome Pot of tea. The room was beautifully equipped with every attention to detail and so comfortable. The Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice a real treat. A added... More

Manereley Guest House is a wonderful place to stay in Chester, walking over the suspension bridge over the river Dee is very relaxing. The Guest house is very clean and so comfortable, Karen and Richard are very helpful and friendly. The best breakfast we have ever had in a guest house or hotel, their attention to detail is wonderful. Would... More

Manderley is a lovely house on a quiet residential street, just over the suspension bridge close to the centre of Chester. Unlike the book Rebecca (in which Manderley is haunted and full of doom) the B& B is bright and welcoming and from the very beginning Karen and Richard couldn't do enough for us. We stayed for 2 nights in... More

A B&B does not get such an accolade from tripadvisor without hard work and a determination to make your stay perfect - it can't be easy. Karen and Richard have done it! We stayed here for two nights in early May in the House Kingsize room which is quite spacious and very comfortable with a kingsize bed. They have used... More

Just got back from our third stay at the Manderley, standards are as high as ever, to us its just like going home, we now treat Karen and Richard as good friends. All we can add is all the previous reviews are not wrong, this really is the only B&B to stay at in Chester, so sorry guys we'll be... More

We've just spent a wonderful weekend in Chester and staying at the Manderley made it for us. I agree with others who comment on the B&B's impeccable cleanliness, comfortable rooms, great location, delicious breakfast and well stocked room tray but it was the attention to detail and genuine care demonstrated by Richard and Karen that really stood out for us.... Stayed for 3 nights in April 2013 along with another couple. The premises, food and service were first class and the location could not be better: quiet with a short walk across the river footbridge into the city centre. Karen and Richard were very welcoming and could not do enough for us e.g. they put out 4 wine glasses in... More

Our second stay at the Manderley, and yet another faultess stay (we rarely return to anywhere twice). Property is spotlessly clean and the location is great for all the local attractions and restaurants. The and breakfast's are 5 star, lots of choice and noticably are cooked in a healthy way. We will be back in the autumn.
