Outdated and in need of a facelift, but it's clean and has helpful staff. Food wasn't great,it was also outdated and not of a high quality. It was also quite noisy in the mornings, not ideal at a weekend!

We have just returned from a short break to Guernsey and wanted to say thank you to Niek and his staff for an enjoyable stay at Le Chene. We travelled with my elderly parents and other family members and all our needs were catered for. Our teenage daughter was allocated a room to herself next to ours (on the top...

We had a November break at this hotel a few years ago & decided to go back in the spring when the wild flowers are in full bloom.Since our last visit ownership had changed but the friendliness remained the same. The hotel is an old manor house. The bedroom was clean and comfortable although the furnishings are now looking old.The food was...

We stayed in the self-catering accommodation but ate in the restaurant every night anyway. We were very comfortable - lots of space, towels, kitchen equipment. Great s/c apartment with the pool 2m outside, kids loved it. Food was nice, homecooked & properly priced. Niek & his team are obliging & knowlegable. The 10/15 min walk to the beach is rewarded with a great beach bar (tapas) & a stunning tiny bay. All in all the island is very family friendly

But we had the chance to go into the self catering unit...

The breakfast menu included a wide choice of continental offerings followed by a great cooked menu as well. The garden area with the pool has a really relaxed atmosphere and...

On arrival our reception was extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean and the fresh cup of tea in the room most welcome.
Breakfast of fruit juice followed by a "Full English" ( one regular and one vegetarian ) topped out with some fresh grapefruit afterwards, set us up for the day's walking.
After four hours walking along...

We don't demand much from hotels and I would like to start with saying that we absolutely enjoyed our stay in Le Chene and that we have nothing to complain about. But I do like to give is what I consider an honest review.
The staff of the hotel has been very friendly and extremely helpful, and also interested in...
