New pod based Travelodge opened circa 6 months ago. Room and bathroom are small but functional. Lighting a bit glum until you switch the behind bed coloured lighting on. Don't think the bins had been emptied. Heavy rain that night so sleep interrupted by water gushing down the rainwater pipes. Mattresses were very soft for our liking. More

We usually stay at the Cambridge Central Travelodge, but for our dates this was way too expensive so we opted for the new-ish Orhcard Park location. This is a typical overnight hotel, plastic and sparse, choice of food in the restaurant not the greatest and the breakfast was not worth the money. The hotel room was again ok but not great, and very noisy, its position for Cambridge is not bad but you need a car. Could find a better hotel closer to the centre. More
