The hotel is close to both Montpelier and Redlands stations and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby on Gloucester Road. I stayed here for 2 nights, in a single room with shared toilet/ shower. The room was clean and airy and the bed was comfortable. The shared facilities were also clean- I was told they would only be... More

We had a reasonably sized room with good facilitites - nice, if small, shower and coffee/tea making in the room. Cotham Brow is a quiet road and although our room faced onto it we were not disturbed. The timing of breakfast was a bit restrictive for a Saturday (between 8am and 9am) but the continental breakfast itself was fine. The... More

The location isn't as central as it could be. About a 10/15 min walk from the centre of Bristol but this is a pleasant B & B. The rooms are clean and well kept, if a little dated decor-wise. And the continental breakfast was a little disappointing. Would stay there again though. More

If you need to stay on the north side of Bristol, this is a great choice. Excellent location, near to numerous good restaurants in one of the most interesting and useful shopping areas in SW England. Bristol city centre is within walking distance and the hosts are great. A spotlessly clean place with good security - about as much as... More

From the moment you walk in the door you are made to feel welcome. I had been looking to make a saving for the company in the current climate and looked to stop using the local Marriot hotel. I was looking for a place that was in easy distance of the office but not too citified - The Arches hit... More

I regularly travel to Bristol and always stay at the Arches Hotel. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed and I always have a good nights sleep. There's a welcoming atmosphere and nothing's ever too much trouble. All in all it's excellent value for money and I wouldn't stay anywhere else! More

It was really un expected surprise this cozy guest accomodation! I've travelled quite a thing along my life and seen lots of good and bad things; for example, I've already slept in a semi-bed (it's hard to explain) in the middle of Angola, long time ago! And I can assure that was definitely a very bizarre experience! Also, I've already... More

I went to Bristol for the Vegan Fair together with 3 other friends, we booked two rooms a single one, and a triple with bathroom, the single room (nº8) was a bit small but had the public toilet/shower right across the corridor. The triple room was spacious (nº1) even with an extra bed, the decoration was ok, the toilet and... More

There's lots to recommend about this small hotel. The location in the suburb of Cotham ("Cot-ham", not rhyming with "Gotham") is excellent - it's very close to Gloucester Rd with its pubs and restaurants, as well as close to the city and university. The owners and staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. The vegetarian & vegan breakfasts are delicious.... More

We stayed in the Arches Bed and Breakfast in Bristol for three nights. Unfortunately, we would not book the Arches B and B again. We arrived on Sunday, September 9 at 3: 40 p.m. at out expected time which we had previously e-mailed them. We got to the B and B and there was no way to get in and... More
