We wished we could have stayed for longer. This is more like a small country house hotel than a B & B. The house is tastefully decorated and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Plenty of parking and situated on a nice quiet street. Our room and bathroom was huge and there is such a sense of space and tranquility to... More

We stayed at the Old Parsonage in November for one night. Greeted with a warm welcome from owners who provided coffee on arrival and a warm open fire in lounge. Lovely 4 poster bed in a Grade II listed building full of charm. Super full english breakfast. Perfect location to explore local attractions eg. Glastonbury, Bath. Owners gave great advice... More

We stayed at the Old Parsonage on November 5th, with friends that we met for a weekend away. After a day in Bath we quickly drove to Farrington Gurney where we spent a night in the two four poster rooms. The Old Parsonage has a history dating back to the 1600s and it retains all its old character whilst being... More

Not your normal residence put over to b&b but a lovely, well preserved and interesting house providing a very comfortable, private and unique experience. The rooms are very clean and relaxing with good facilities. Don't expect ultra modern and high-tech, instead expect cottage style & four poster bed, log fire heating in the lounge, freshly baked home baked bread still... More

We enjoy using B&Bs as one-night stop-overs and always aim to find somewhere with architectural interest. The Old Parsonage is unique in this respect, as it's grade 2star listing would imply. Our welcome was businesslike rather than warm and the owner displayed a rather detatched manner throughout the stay. She put us in mind of a abrupt and rather strict... More

Don`t rely on sat nav to find hotel by postcode, its at end of road. However this is a excellent choice for visiting the Cotswolds.Hotel with character, hospitality and taste. Service was impeccable. Friendly owner who knows how to satisfy her guests.Full english breakfast was top notch. Superbly decorated and with all amenities. Slept like a log in extremely comfortable bed.... More

Right from the start we were made very welcome. Any help we wanted with directions, where to go, where to eat etc was instantly forthcoming. The room was lovely and warm and clean. We were given our own front door key and told that we could come and go as we pleased. The breakfast was excellent, didn't need to eat until... More

I was very lucky to find The Old Parsonage whilst searching for a regular place to stay in the West Country near to Bath and Bristol. Having become fed up with staying in the expensive modern hotel chains that offer the same characterless box room, I wanted to find a special place that was interesting and that had plenty of...
