We go to the Hay on Wye Literary Festival each year and stay at the same B & B. This is the best guest-house I have ever stayed in. The cooked breakfasts and the home-made jam and marmalade are fantastic, and when you stagger off to the conservatory to recover Ruth comes out with a plate of scones in case you are still hungry! This farmhouse, within view of the of the Black Mountains, is tucked away down narrow lanes, but well signposted from the Vowchurch to Michaelchurch Escley road.
