I think that most people who stay here are either on their way to or from the ferry terminal as it is only a ten minute drive away. The hotel is located in beautiful woodland if you have time to stick around and explore (we didn't) The receptionist was incredibly friendly and efficient considering she was dealing single handedly with... We stayed overnight here before catching the ferry to Prince Rupert. This motel had rooms on ground level and first floor accessible by outside steps. My husband and I are both not vrey good with stairs so the receptionist changed us to ground floor room without any hesitation - ver pleasant staff. good value we paid 131 dollars plus tax... More

On the website it looks better from the outsite that it is. Rooms are small and very old fashioned. We heard quite a lot of noise from the people above us.from BC Ferries tp Prince Rupert. So we pay far to much for this motel. The only thing what makes it interresting is that is close to the ferry More

We had a bedroom with two queen beds, a lounge, kitchenette and bathroom. Basic but nice and clean. The ideal place to stop if travelling on the ferry. More

Shortest stay at a hotel ever! The carpet was badly stained; the room had an odour that hit you immediately. Going into the bedroom it became obvious that it was full of mold and mildew. We left immediately. On the positive side when we told the desk clerk we couldn't stay; she very kindly refunded our full cost. Sleeping in... More

It's old and basic, but our room was clean, and the bathroom was fine. Not very big: not much room available to organize luggage. Free Internet access on one computer in the office. Washing machines were available. No food available. Pricey ($120 total) but it's summer on a tourist path. I have stayed in other motels in the town of... More

Came across this place on the net and was at a reasonable price. Stayed there for two nights. The place looks a bit outdated from the outside. The rooms aren't that much better. There was a separate room with a double bed and a single bed. Not sure why there was two beds in there (we only asked for a... More

This property would be acceptable if it was just tired. It is a $40/night old motel charging high rates because most of the customers are one night stands. The only thing going for it was that it was clean. Rooms are poorly lit, shabbily decorated, very noisy. They would have let me out of my reservation(i think) if i could... More

Like most others, the only reason we stayed at the Pioneer Inn was to catch the ferry to Prince Rupert. That said, there is no reason not to stay in this hotel as it is the closest you can get to the ferry (and that's important at 04.30 in the morning!) and there is quite a nice nature reserve directly... I stayed there a couple years back and it was filthy, but I went back because the location is great. When I went in it was clean and the food is delicious. The staff isn't great at english but very pleasant and friendly. The new manager seems to be taking charge and doing a lot of renovations. It's definitely clean... More
