Brian and I just came back from staying at Oceanside Inn with Maggie and Bill. We were there for 4 days and three nights and wish we could have stayed longer. It was a private, quiet and relaxing experience and we came home totally relaxed. We loved the quaint room with a great view of the Navy Channel. The breakfasts... More

We spent 3 nights here in August this year and loved the views especially from the breakfast room. The breakfasts were first rate and Kathy who was serving us for the first 2 days gave us some great tips. The bedroom was however disappointing and did not seem to match the picture on the web-site. It was smaller and did... More

We had a delightful time at Oceanside. Very private, quiet, relaxing. Great location, grounds. Maggie and Bill are wonderful, discreet hosts and provided delicious breakfasts. They have a nice, useful library of books and local information, excellent wireless internet connection, and very clean premises. We would definitely return.

On the positive side: fantastic view; great to have own hot tub; breakfast good and staff (owner) friendly and cooperative On the down side: lack of a decent reading lamp; better pillows needed Not having a decent reading lamp always reduces the numerical assessment I give; the price of the accommodation leads one to expect greater attention to details

Our room had a wonderful view of Mount Baker and the water with a private patio, however, the room was very outdated and had an awful sewer smell as well as cobwebs on the ceiling. Bathroom needs much work. Water bottles were not refreshed during our 3 days and towels were only replaced at our request. On the second day,... More

We spent our tenth wedding anniversary at Oceanside Inn. It was so wonderful, we went back for our 13th anniversary, and hope to go again. Bill and Maggie Rumford are marvelous hosts, and their inn is charming, cozy and everything you'd want for a relaxing getaway. The setting is idyllic, with deer, otters, seals, eagles, a view of Mt. Baker... More

The river otters arrived on the beach late afternoon just as Maggie Rumford said they would Ditto the does and their little fawns all over the front lawn at various times of day. Bill and Maggie Rumford, proprietors of the Oceanside Inn, made our stay a wonderful Island experience. The main building has just the right mix of privacy and... More

Please ignore the negative reviews as we are aware that they relate to previous owners. The new owners, Maggie & Bill Rumford have clearly spent a lot of time effort and money rectifying the problems they inherited, when they bought the property several yeas ago. The property is set on top of the cliff with wonderful views across Navy Channel... More

My wife and I have stayed at Oceanside twice in the last two years and have found it very good, the last time in October 2004, and I have found the rates fair, considering that the Inn is on an Island which makes everything more expensive. I'm actually surprised by the negative comments of two guests listed here. I have... More
