We stayed here for three nights while attending a conference in Uclulet. The view is idyllic and all the rooms have that view. We stayed in one of the hotel rooms which are basic but fine. The bed was very comfortable and the staff were pleasant. It is definitely a "no frill" kinds of place but comfortable and good value. More

I stayed inside the boat in the beginning of August while my parents stayed in the cottage. If you want to save money, then choose to sleep inside the boat (it is like a budget hostel). If you want to spend a little extra, then definitely get the cabin as you have your own bathroom, fireplace and a balcony that... More

Dear adewski, I'm glad you enjoyed your fishing trip at Canadian Princess. We are primarily a fishing resort although our whale watching trips are very popular with visitors. I'm glad you got to combine both! I'm also glad that you enjoyed your experience on the ship. Although not for everyone, the ship offers a unique nautical experience and is very... More

This hotel is very unique and specialized for fishermen. We stayed to see the wildlife and the Pacific Rim. The whales are often seen and used boats for excursions are large and comfortable. The hotel is clean, the rooms are large. Breakfast is served from 4.30 am. They are typical Canadian breakfast, then the Italians should go out .... The... More

I will pass along your comments about our crew accommodating your late check in. We're proud of the service we provide. I hope you can join us again... More

We had been camping on the island for a week and a half and decided to treat ourselves to a nice hotel. The price was a little higher then we had anticipated but what the heck. When we walked in the room we decided on the spot to stay for the extra 2 nights we were in the area. Then... More

I had the great fortune to bring my two grandsons and their wonderful fathers to the Canadian Princess. We stayed ashore and the facilities were great as was the entire staff. We went out to sea and limited out on Halibut and Salmon including one heck of a great bottom fishing trip where all of us where screaming FISH ON!!!... More

Myself and 12 friends booked a trip here August 14th & 15th 2011. We flew in on a 40 minute flight from Vancouver South terminal to the Long Beach airport where a chartered bus was waiting to take us to the resort. Here we stayed in the resort's on shore accommodation. Starting with the flight, the lone stewardess left much... More

My wife and I stayed on the Canadian Princess ship in Ucluelet BC for two nights in August of 2011. We had the choice of a hotel room or the ship. Unfortunately we choose the ship. Our plan was to get up early at 4 am every morning to go charter boat fishing. However, our small stateroom was directly below... More

Dear Guest, I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy your experience aboard our ship. The Canadian Princess ship offers an authentic accommodation experience staying aboard a 1932 built steel ship at a great price. As you observed being a steel ship it can be a little noisy at night, and unfortunately we were having a problem with our plumbing on board... More

Dear Guest, The OBMG Loyalty Club is a new program for us and I apologize for the confusion in handling your restaurant discount. You are correct that it is a condition of the program that the card is presented at the time of purchase, so we needed special appoval to apply your discount afterwards. Me and my wife stayed on board the ship for 1 night Canada Day weekend. We where just up doing some hiking and decided to have dinner here and have to say the dinner was fine and reasonable. We thought instead of travelling back to Parksville we may stay the night if it was reasonable. I checked online with my... More

Dear Guest, I'm sorry to hear that you had a poor experience with your room on our ship. It is true that we usually recommend our shore rooms to guests who are not fishing or who have not stayed in our shipboard accommodations before. The Canadian Princess is a steel ship which was built in 1932 and while it offers... More

I wanted to share my experience regarding the Canadian Princess Resort. My sixteen year old son and I stayed on the boat and had pre booked two days of fishing as a package deal.
