This relates to a stay in mid-July, 2011. The Cathedral Lakes Lodge ("Lodge") is an adventure. The adventure begins with the drive to the Lodge's parking area along the Ashnola River - it's a beautiful drive up a river canyon. After parking your car in the secure (fenced in) parking lot, it's then a one-hour or so ride up to... More

We hike here and love the ride up into the alpine. We camp at the lake campground and go to the lodge for the occasional dinner and drinks. Meals are healthy and tasty. Having a drink by the stone fireplace chatting with other hikers is awesome. Fishing in the lake is wonderful. Must do if you love alpine hiking More

If you want a great place for hiking Cathedral Lakes Park is a lovely place to go. Accommodation is in the Lodge, in a cabin or camping. My husband and I stayed stayed in the lodge which is the "high end" in availability. Our room had a lovely view of the lake and the bed was fine. There was a... More

Heading here, we had great food, strong wine list, and decent rooms -- very clean. But really, we went for the scenery. Mountain goats and deer grazing steps from the hotel. Ospreys, whiskey jacks, wood ducks and other birds flying over us as we canoed Quiniscoe Lake. An exciting ride up from the base camp in Austrian troop transports. The... More

My wife and I along with our four children had a great time at Cathedral Lakes. We were up close to our Canadian wilderness. We will never forget our time there. From deer walking in front of us to the breathtaking view of the mountain ranges – you can’t be disappointed. More

As a previous reviewer said, "Location, location, location." This is THE lodge in Cathedral Provincial Park, in a truly lovely setting, so if you want to visit, and you don't want to tent, this is where you'll stay. So what's it like? Well, looked at as a whole, the compound in which this resort sits looks like a mining camp... More

This is our second trip up to Cathedral Provincial Park and the Cathedral Lakes lodge in four years. The number of locals we meet up there, as well as visitors from Vancouver and Van. Island, tells you something. Many of us love the location and have made repeat visits to this area. The lodge is in a small square of... More

My husband and I love hiking and wanted to go someplace special to celebrate his return to health after a serious illness so we chose Cathedral Lakes Lodge after hearing about it from some friends who loved the hiking. As a chef and one who had also helped run a small lodge type venue I had high hopes for this... More
