We stayed here in August and used it as a base for hiking. My brother and his wife had the second suite. The accommodation consists of two basement suites each with a kitchen. This makes breakfast very easy. For dinner you can cook in or visit the Truffle Pigs Restaurant which is just down the street. The couple who run... More

We stayed here three nights in mid Sept. 2012. We had the basement room closest to the road. Very nice , comfy bed, nice satilite TV, good kitchen and quite. We met the host once at check in. Paid up then and never saw them again. Got some advice at checkin on things to do. Buy your food supplies ahead... More

Mount Stephen is spot on. Lovely basement apartment with comfy bed full kitchen fully equipped and a pleasant lounge. Can't think of any way to improve it. Just felt a bit strange not seeing the owners, let ourselves in and left payment after our 3 night stay. Field itself is a delightful village in a wonderful setting and very handy... More

We loved this place, a great alternative to expensive Lake Louise. There are two apartments, private, spacious and clean. Ours had a big room with full kitchen, big-screen TV, table, chairs, and couch, plus a separate bedroom with a comfortable queen bed and a nice bathroom. Kim and Craig are friendly, helpful hosts. We brought lots of food with us... More

We stayed here for a few nights on the final leg of our trip between Vancouver and Calgary. We couldn't believe how big the apartment was considering the price and it's a great location as a base to explore. It was clean and cosy, with all the basic home comforts we wanted. I agree with previous posts, stock up on... More

A great place for someone who is looking to make Field their base for exploring the Yoho/Lake Louise area. Full kitchen, bathroom and bedroom for $90 a night off-peak is a crazy bargain. The fixtures are no frills (think your 1970s basement), but pretty much anything you need is here. You need to truck in groceries yourself (Lake Louise is... More

For us, Field was great. It's all about the location. After a day coming down the Icefield parkway, field was the right place to stop for a few nights. Allowed us to do Yoho and Lake Louise etc before heading down to Banff. It would obviously work the other way round as well. Not sure about the other properties in... More

A superb and unbelievable place to stay. Was a very cozy place. Very spacious and cheap.....was perfect for two couples and a baby with a seperate room/dining room with a sofabed and a big kitchen. And the price was relatively cheap compared to what we've paid before and after. The Chapman's family was very welcoming. The view from the room has... More
