I spent two nights at the Auberge du Vieux Foyer on a work retreat with approximately 25 other colleagues. The facilities were great - my room was big, clean, modern and bright. The food was good, and the staff were friendly. I had never been to this area of Quebec, but it was beautiful. I would definitely stay there again... More

Food was superb, traditional French-Canadian cusine was excellent like sugar pie, steak, shrimp, great Cesar salad, some odd combinations on the menu like Pina Colada chicken, and anise creme brulee (why anise?) however sticking to standard preparations of striploin steak and filet mignon was excellent....even the veg was perfectly cooked. The renovated rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The food is excellent -- breakfast and 4-service dinner -- but service was very slow at dinner. The Auberge is close to a great network of cross-country skiing/biking trails (Parc Dufresne). All in all, I felt welcomed and enjoyed my stay there. More
