Road trip from Toronto to thunder bay. Decided to keep driving past Sault S M. Glad we did. Hosts mark and Teresa provided us with a well cared for motel. Very clean, friendly hosts, excellent restaurant which seemed like the place locals would come for a nice evening dinner. After a long day of driving we enjoyed a game of... More

After we paid the money for a week stay and checked into our room there was a sign posted by the sink and I quote "due to difficulties to the water system please do not drink the water from the tap, until the farther notice". ( this is not a typo) Management They wanted to give us 2 bottles (32... More

Found this little place a few years ago when travelling through Wawa and needed a place to stay for the night. Pleasantly surprised that it had a restaurant, obviously newly renovated and very slick. Checked in to my room ($86.00?) and found a newly renovated room, very clean and tastefully decorated. Fridge in the room and coffee maker, flat screen... More

This was a great place to stop doing the long drive further up north. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It was nice to have a 2 bedroom cabin with a little kitchenette for a little extra room. There was a deck out back of cabin with patio table to sit and relax after long trip. The restaurant at... We booked this motel after seeing positive reviews as well as a recommendation on a site for the Lake Superior Circle Tour and were looking forward to a beautiful stay at a great place. First was location as we pulled into Wawa looking for the hotel and found out it was several miles down the highway, no big deal but... More

My wife and I did not stay at the hotel, so I cannot comment on the rooms, however, we went for dinner one night (Jul 7th) and the food was good enough that we went back for lunch the following day. If you are a fan of Polish food, you will love this restaurant - everything we had was fantastic.... More

We stayed in a Rustic Cabin that has a great view of the River and Valley. 2 bedroom with basic kitchen and bath that was clean and accommodating. This is not a 5 star motel and its priced right for that!! The main lodge is newer, clean and very warm and inviting. The food well let me tell ya...the porgies... More

We recently stayed on the motel when visiting Wawa for a hockey tournament. The tournament was well run, and I believe our hockey team lucked out on the best accomodations. The couple who ran the motel were very friendly and accomodating, the homecooked food in the restaurant was amazing, and the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. We... More

I booked this place since I have a good memory of this place 6 years ago ( at that time we stayed in one room) . Once arrived , the cabin was very dirty. The carpet in One room smell Very bad (urine). Also, the beds were not confortable at all, noisy and dirty, adding to that the covers have... More

The Best Northern truly is an oasis for a highway motel, nicely appointed rooms with new (comfortable) beds, LCD tv's, in-room coffee and a fridge to keep your travel goodies cold. The four or more person jacuzzi on the outside deck overlooking the meandering river is a delight to ease your road weary bones - as is the sauna (albeit... More
