We were quite pleased with all aspects of O Bois Dormant on a recent 2-night winter stay. The owner, Patrick, was thoroughly gracious yet unobtrusive, and a superb chef. The 4-course breakfasts were creative and fantastic, particularly for the health-conscious. For example, we were served Iranian-style backlava made by a family member of Patrick's wife, filo-dough pastries stuffed with watermelon... More

The O Bois Dormant is a 1889 Victorian B & B which has been newly acquired by Patrick. The house is located on a very deep lot filled with gardens and a small swimming pool. It is conveniently located a few blocks from the main street running through Magog where most of the shops, restaurants and the lake are located.... More

We spent two nights in Magog from our home in Vermont, and couldn't have chosen a better B&B. Patrick and Maryam are marvelous hosts. Breakfasts are delicious and elegant, our room was spacious, the location perfect for walking anywhere. Plenty of outdoor spaces to wander or sit-- big porch, garden, yard, and small pool which was lovely on the hot... More

Magog was a last stop on a two week vacation in Canada. We arrived without a reservation and walked into O Bois Dormant because of the lovely garden. The new owners Maryan and Patrick welcomed us and showed us a spacious room and bath with an attached small porch. We were sold. They were very helpful with ideas for dinner... More

Coming to Magog from a visit to Quebec City, I anticipated a bit of a letdown. How could this small town compare? Jean and Lucie, in their understated way, made our stay (a second honeymoon) unforgettable. We had all we needed: delicious food, helpful, interesting, sophisticated yet warm hosts, mini fridge space, even a water cooler in the dining room.... More

Our hosts. Lucie and Jean, were delightful and were very happy to give advice about the local area. The 'goumet' breakfasts were wonderful and were different every day and our hosts were keen to tell us about the menu. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. We were also invited to make use of a very comfortable lounge. The... More

This is a nice place for a nice romantic weekend. In the middle of downtown Magog. Less than five minutes of walk you are in downtown. You can leave your car there. The breakfast are excellent. I will go back anytime.

This is one of the nicest B & B's we have been too. Lots of attention to little detail, lovely bath in room, great decor, fablous breakfasts. The hosts were wonderful and you could see they love what they do. Even helped my hide champage to be served at our breakfast for our 40th anniversary. Great couple and overall just... More

I highly recommend this B&B. The hosts Jean and Lucie are most accommodating and friendly. The rooms are beautifully appointed with lots of thought and care. The breakfasts are outstanding. They could rival any hotel. We stayed for 7 nights and never had the same wonderful food twice. Jean and Lucie are passionate about quality, care and presentation. The house... More

Jean and Lucie were very hospitable and we especially enjoyed talking to Jean about Quebec and it's history. The room was large, extremely comfortable, and tastefully decorated. AND, and... the breakfast was artfully created, full of variety, and tasted great.
