Our family was on a biking trip through some of the villages in Provence (Luberon/Alpilles area). We stayed 2 nights in La Reine-Jeanne at the end of March. The hotel was just inside the gateway entrance to the fort city. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and very clean. Looked like they were newly renovated. The room with a... More

Quirky might be the best way to describe this hotel. It is located right inside the walls of the mountain-top village of Les Baux, not more than 100 feet from the main gate. We missed it when we arrived because from the street it looks much more like a restaurant than a hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.... More

I recently (2 nights in July 2011) stayed at this brilliant property and i encourage you to do so as well. Les Baux is a beautiful ancient hill top village with lots to see and do. One of the unique aspects is that there are just 2 hotels in town so when all the day trippers leave you get to... More

The rooms are basic but clean. We had spectacular view from our room. We dined in the restaurant two nights.and found the food very good. The service was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfasts were good and accompanied by delicious coffee. I would recommend this hotel.

I don't think the owners are serious about running a good establishment. The place is literally falling down. The bathroom shower head was broken, the tiles were broken, discolored and dirty. The carpet was black from wear in some places. The furniture was broken. The patio with the only saving grace - a beautiful view-- was a storage place for... More

It would be hard to find a room anywhere with a view that's more awesome, in the true sense of the overused word. My sister and I shared room #2 for three nights as part of a two-week hiking trip in Provence. The room has a huge balcony (actually the roof of part of the building) that is so close... More

The room itself was basic but clean but this may have been because we got the last room . The view was spectacular, looking over the valley. We had dinner at the hotel and the meal was excellent. The staff was very accomodating and we wished we'd had more time to stay in Les Baux.

This is a review of the RESTAURANT, not the hotel. We had no reservations, and they were busy, so we weren't surprised to be given a table in the entrance area near the kitchen and bar. We had read good reviews so we were willing to accept that. But our experience was so different from the other reviews, we wonder... More

One of the busier restaurants inside the medieval village also books out rooms (about 9 total) for those wise souls who want to have the place to themselves long after the tourist hordes have left. Charming little 2-star accommodation (basic, but clean), with nice private terrace overlooking the valley. Good dining room - probably the best creme brulee I had... More
