I stay here every April while attending a bridge tournament. Ruth and Gerry are the friendliest of people, the room is very clean and comfortable and the breakfast is superb. More

I had the pleasure of spending an evening at Suncatcher B&B while in the Truro area for business. I arrived very late (sorry Gerry and Ruth)....but I was welcomed warmly and felt like I was family. I slept soooo good and was shocked to see that I slept till 7:00 AM as I never sleep past 6:00. Woke to the... More

We just spent a most enjoyable night and morning with Ruth and Gerry and their dog "Keltie", the owners of this great Bed and Breakfast in Truro, Nova Scotia. Their home is very clean and well appointed with exquisite stained glass work and needlepoint that is of a quality we have never encountered elsewhere in our travels. A tour of... More

We are glad to know how well you enjoyed your time at Suncatcher B&B. Gerry loves to give our guests a tour of his stained-glass studio & explain the process of creating in this medium. The gingerbread recipe is a family favourite; a comfort food! We look forward to hosting you again sometime soon! More

A very nice time. We were looking for a place to stay on our way back from Cape Breton to the Halifax airport. The owners were very freindly and the house (and room) were nicely decorating and comfortable. Although Truro is not very scenic, this B and B is a nice place to stay en route to scenic destinations. Thank you for your review of your time at Suncatcher B&B, especially your use of the word "comfortable". Making our B&B guests feel both welcome & "at home" has always been a priority for us. Because of our convenient location en route to & from the Halifax airport, we often have B&B guests who do not have time to do... More

We loved the family, Ruth and Gerry, and their precious dog, Keltie. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated, the breakfast incredible, and Ruth served pie and coffee before bedtime. Gerry has a stained glass workshop in the basement that we visited, and Ruth helped us with our travel plans. Don't miss this one! Sandra Cline More

We are glad to know that your stay at Suncatcher B&B is a part of your pleasant memories of your time in central Nova Scotia. Keltie sends his "thanks" too! Our pie-making is a real "team" effort as Gerry has the pastry touch & Ruth makes the "fillings". We use local produce according to the time of the year so... More

We have stayed with Ruth and Gerry quite a few times now and always enjoy their hospitality. The rooms are very comfortable and have plenty of supplies; the bathrooms are well equipped and have wonderful handmade soaps for guest use. The rooms are nicely decorated and very comfortable! Each night there is dessert and coffee or tea, and some good... More

After making our reservation we received a lovely handwritten note from Ruth which we so appreciated. She included a helpful map and a suggestion for an interesting site to see along the way. Both hosts were wonderfully helpful, and the homemade pie & coffee the evening of our arrival was superb. A delicious "to go" breakfast was graciously packed for... More

Spent one night at Suncatchers B&B on my way from PEI to Halifax. Ruth and Gerry are real Maritimers - friendly and welcoming. My room - Cobequid- was very comfortable, had all the amenities of a boutique hotel with a sitting area, private bath, a very comfortable bed and lots of little extras..Could have stayed longer. Breakfast was great, Ruth... More

We were planning ahead for the evening and found this wonderful B&B in the Doers & Dreamers Nova Scotia travel book. Ruth gave us good directions to find her place and greeted us with fresh cake and coffee on our late arrival. The rooms were beautifully furnished with comfortable beds and an extremely well stocked bathroom. Both guest rooms are... More

We stayed 4 days at "Suncatcher B&B". We were greeted warmly by hosts . Accomodation was wonderful - supper was appreciated, breakfast was generous and delicious. We were given much information about Nova scotia, including maps, menus of local restaurants, places of interest to visit. We loved the evening conversations - it felt like being a special visitor. Our hosts... More
