I had the pleasure of residing at this Motel from Jan.6 to Feb.21,2012.Although the exterior may be dated(but thats what gives it class),it is more than made up by the staff, the owners and the interiors of the units. It is family run ,since the 1930's,when you register, look at the photo of the original buildings. The location is easy walking distance to... More

I came to town for business, I did not want to spend a lot of money. I was very surpised. The motel looks older and the windows and bathroom were definitely showing their age. But the whole place was really clean. No old smells and we had a mini fridge, micro wave and high speed so we were able to... More

Touring Nova Scotia and wound up heading to Truro due to stormy weather. Needed accomodations for that night and was quite happy with the Rainbow. Did have to ring the bell, but it was answered promptly and room was quite satisfactory. Had amenities of refrig, micro, and coffee pot. Owner/manager assisted getting me on internet. Bed was quite comfy. No... More

This is a very modest motel (relatively cheap), but the owner was especially helpful upon check-in--good directions on how to use the TV, light switches, and internet. I appreciated the bright yellow towels & shower curtain in the bathroom though the pillows could have been a bit fluffier! More

The owner was very friendly. The rooms are o.k. Beds are nice and the 40" t.v. with tons of channels was a nice surprise. The best part was the great shower in the morning which I think really makes or breaks a stay. Overall a great stay and saved lots of dough. More

I stayed at the rainbow motel off and on for about 7 month for work. Rooms are a bit old but kept clean. Friendly staff, affordable rates and awesome satellite TV! Also located close to great Chinese restaurant and Frank&Ginos famil restaurant! If you want to save some money and not sacrifice comfort I highly recommend the Rainbow!! More
