I do not believe that having a Ferrry Service back in Yarmouth will improve this hotel. This Rodd property is in dire need of a renovation, most people travelling on a Ferry are going to driver through Yarmouth to get somewhere else. They may stay at the Rodd if they miss the boat. Very dated, shabby looking, really should be... More

Parking was horrible, forced to park well up the street in the back, at night, and walk to hotel! Room was in need of desperate repairs, water damage in shower, piece of heater fell off, stains on ceiling, carpet was disgustingly stained. Very few towels and none brought to room when asked. Overall it was not worth the $100 +... More

Our stay was with our hockey team and the hotel had many different teams staying at the hotel. Breakfast is not included but the Resturant has a full menu. Prices are a bit high. Rooms need to be upgraded. Carpet is quite old, worn and in some rooms musty. This is the only hotel with a swimming pool for the... More

Stayed at the Rodd for a hockey tournament and were given the whole floor with a hospitality suite for the parents. Check in and out were quick and easy and they made us feel right at home. More

Good location in the old part of Yarmouth, but in need of updating. Staff was friendly and wi fi worked well. I had a partial water view and thought that kind of offset the rest of my feelings. I like to sleep with the window open but the smell of cigarette smoke (which seems to be common in the province)... More

We were staying at the hotel with a group of family members from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, for a 100th birthday celebration. The Hotel was all we could expect in comfort, service etc. however we ran into a problem on the night of the dinner. When we returned from the dinner we found absolutely no parking spaces for the... Stated here for 1 week on business. It was definately not the best hotel I stayed in but it was not the worst either. The Good- The hotel was located just off a main street and you could easily walk to many restaurants and shops downtown. It had a nice big swimming pool and a pretty good (although small) gym.... This hotel is said to be the best in Yarmouth. I would say the best thing about this hotel is the location and the view of the harbour, it is sorely in need of an update. The staff member who greeted us was extremely rude and unhelpful. The rooms looked clean, however, they smelled very bad and were in very... More

This hotel isn't all that bad. Yarmouth is a small town (7,000 people?) and this hotel is perfectly fine for a town that size. My wife and I stayed there for one night after coming off of a friend's boat. We didn't have a reservation and came across the hotel after looking at a list of hotels at the Tourist... More

Okay, I just arrived at the Rodd Grand Yarmouth, which claims to be a Rodd "Signature" Hotel. (I would really hate to see what their non-signature hotels are like). After a wonderful day touring Southwest Nova Scotia, I arrived for a business meeting in Yarmouth. I did not pick this hotel, my business associate did, and swears this is the... More
