Jacquie is an exceptional host, gracious, kind and thoughtful. We had a fabulous overnight stay at this traditional bed and breakfast. Beacon Shore is a beautiful home overlooking Georgian Bay, with many lovely spots to sit and enjoy the surrounding beauty. Jacquie prepared a delicious breakfast for us. We selected our breakfast options the day before when we checked in and she was very prompt with her preparation and even had hot coffee waiting for us at 7:30am. Midland is a short drive and offers many touristy attractions and excellent dining options. Fabulous getaway, and a short 1 1/2 drive from Toronto. If visiting a must see is Martyrs Shrine, Sainte Marie among the Hurons, and Wye Marsh, 12 minutes away.

Yes, our Georgian Bay Suite was spacious and the bed was comfy, and the 15 acre property with a view of the lake creates a sense of peace within - but the X Factor is the host, Jacquie - her caring personality and creative soul turned a wonderful journey to the shores of Georgian Bay into one that we'll always remember and cherish .. ps, her breakfast selection options spoiled us .. thank you Jacquie.

Jacquie is the most wonderful host who made us feel right at home during our stay. Beacon Shore is a beautiful bnb right by the lake surrounded by stunning gardens. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend. Breakfasts are delicious, lovingly prepared fresh by Jacquie every day and rooms are clean, spacious and homely. The only down side was that our stay was too short.

Beacon Shore is a beautiful spot to stay for a few days (or longer) while exploring all that the area has to offer (Awenda Provincial Park, Georgia Bay Islands National Park, Sainte-Matie-Among-the-Hurons, Wye Marsh, etc). The rooms are immaculately clean, spacious and well-appointed. The garden and grounds are beautiful, and full of birds and visiting critters. Jacquie is a most attentive hostess,.and cooks a mean 3-course breakfast (acommodating different dietary requirements along the way), including homemade breads and jams. If, like us, you want accommondation that respects COVID safety protocols, Jacquie does that in spades too, from mask-wearing to sanitized pens and no-touch menus and payments. If you are an anti-vax, anti-mask "freedom" fighter, on the either hand, or even a big rambunctuous family, Beacon Shore may not be for you.

We stayed at Beacon Shore B&B and had a beautiful experience. Jacquie was clear around expectations and upheld COVID protocols. She was friendly, warm, creative and very knowledgeable. An amazing chef, hostess, she made our breakfasts feasts for the eyes and mouths. Her home is lovely, spacious, clean, warm and welcoming. We will return and will recommend it to friends and colleagues.

We spent 3 lovely, relaxing and peaceful nights at Beacon Shore B&B, and stayed in the Georgian Bay suite. At one end, overlooking Georgian Bay, and at the other end of the room, we could see the "full" moon. There's tons of space in the suite and the bed was beyond comfortable! Also, you must check-out and try the awesome bath tub! Our host Jacquie, is salt of the earth, incredibly thoughtful, and friendly, and yes her kindness is only surpassed by her incredibly delicious breakfasts! (5/5) and while eating like kings and queens, we were entertained by all the different birds that would visit her bird feeder [ie] woodpeckers, and even a few wild turkeys too! Upon arrival, Jacquie gave us the 411 on current events in Penetanguishene, and lucky us, it was the start of the 74th annual Winterama. Her B&B is a hop, skip and a jump to Midland (10 minutes) and we had 2 amazing dinners at Dillons (wood fired ovens) and had one of the tastiest pizzas ever, and their ribs were mind blowing! If tea is your thing, check out the Royal Tea in Midland! Of note, Jacquie was mindful and respectful of COVID protocols, and in no way did it negatively impact our stay or hinder our movement! Beacon Shore was exactly what these 2 weary HCW's needed and are incredibly grateful to have spent time in this beautiful space : ) thanks again Jacquie, and hope to see you again some time later this year!

We are happy to report that Beacon Shore B&B is the perfect base from which to explore the Midland/Penetanguishene area. From the moment we drove in the majestic, pine-canopied driveway to the final friendly good-bye, we were treated to a first-class experience. Jackie was knowledgeable and helpful, the Georgian Bay Suite was a comfortable and spacious room with open views of the bay and surrounding forests. The breakfast was a delight, offering a broad range of delicious choices and COVID-19 protocols were fully respected. Highly recommended!
