An ok basic room with very large bed. Breakfast cooked to order, plus serve yourself cereal, toast etc. A bit far out to walk to Down town (about 3Km.) Discount for over 60s, but still a little expensive for a lower end of the market Motel. More

As others have mentioned, the management offer a good sales pitch and little else. The property is superficially OK-looking, but once you've paid your money its true colors show through. I tried to use the microwave and after twenty seconds the electricity went out completely. As the room was pitch black, I had to go to the office to have... More

The building is very old and has an odd smell when you enter the lobby. The room smell did not get much better, very musty smelling as others have stated. The king bed was hard. The pillow case we had was very yellow and did not fully fit the pillow...gross...the sheet are basically very warn and thin. The towels in... More

Hotel is good value for the money, clean basic stay, quaint hotel. Really didn't expect a 'full' breakfast like the listing said, I liked the breakfast, eggs and sausage patty cooked to order, plus lots of continental breakfast fare of breads, waffles, cereals etc. Lots of coffee, juices etc. Sure, I will stay again. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was cooked on demand, french toast, waffles, bacon and eggs, whatever you want. More

Major plumbing problems that they refuse to admit to. Don't count on taking any showers there because it comes in only two settings: ice cold or burning hot! Awful customer service. They only want your money and go. Suggest you go to the other hotels in Pembroke. For the unreasonable price ($170 a night) the Econolodge charged for crappy rooms... More

My mother and I stayed at the Econolodge while we visited my son who is attending College in Pembroke. The room was very clean and comfortable. In the morning, we were able to take advantage of the hot breakfast made for us by staff who were very friendly and accomodating. This was our first stay at the Econolodge but certainly... More

Stayed for one night in late July. While this certainly is a no frills hotel, we were actually pleased with our room and with the breakfast. We had eggs, waffes, cereal, juice, coffee. We thought it a pretty good deal for what we paid. If we're ever back there for a short visit, we would consider staying there again. More

1. Room was smelling bad.. 2. Sometimes we were not getting warm water.. 3. Breakfast experience was terribly bad . The hotel owner (i assume) is the chef and only person in the kitchen. i guess he is saving money for not having a helper with him. Very small breakfast room , which is Ok, but it was getting crazy... More

The Econo Lodge Pembroke was formerly a retirement residence though its not apparent for how long. (It was formerly know as The Villa Retirement Residence) At least a couple of people died in the building, though most likely of natural causes. The room we stayed in was very old, and stale/ smoky smelling. The building has apparent electrical issues so... More
