Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked at this motel through booking.com due to availability in the area and price. The room we were given was dated, the bath room and sink area were dirty and badly worn. Kitchen area looked like it had been up dated over the last couple years. The inside of our room door looked like it had been used for knife throwing practice. Front desk staff were friendly. Also found out after we checked in that there are people living in some of the units. All exterior doors were propped open so any one could come and go freely. Hallways were badly worn and in poor condition. No phones in room.Total for the room was just over $151. The price is a value for the area but is definitely too high for the condition of the motel. In all fairness the dumpster outside looked like the owners may be renovating some rooms. Best to be clear what you're looking for and expecting when staying at this motel

This was one of the less expensive hotels in Canmore, so we didn't expect the Ritz. But it certainly wasn't cheap, and was quite disappointing. The room had a musty smell, and the bed gave both of us a backache. The room was noisy - trains woke us up several times in the night. No central air, and the wall a/c was noisy and inadequate. We ended up opening a window, which of course made it noisier. And the whole place felt unclean, and made my skin crawl. But it was just one night, so we stuck it out. The only thing that saved it from a one-star review was that the WiFi worked well.

This place gets a zero for curb appeal and first impressions. The hallway carpets were badly stained and filthy! We were informed that they do not have housekeeping and fresh linens and towels can be picked up at the desk. The room was tidy but had a bad smell and the bathroom was unacceptable. We could not stay and were fortunate enough to find a room in a clean place. Rating this a 1 is too high.

The room was absolutely gross. We knew we couldn't expect much but it was even worse! The whole place should be closed down for being insalubrious. The room was smelly and dirty, absolutely repulsive. We paid $280!!! for one night for a place we wouldn't stay for free. We couldn't touch the shower, the microwave or the stove as they were disgusting. Having spent the night in this place basically tainted our trip. The walls were cracked and stained, the paint was peeling off. The sofa bed was very small so my son tossed and turned the whole night, not being able to get any sleep. The pictures and positive reviews are misleading, I can't believe such a place can be listed and made available for booking as it should be shut down.

Very affordable price, maybe cheapest hotel in Canmore. Great location. Close everything you need such as Restraunts and grocery store. The room is not fancy but clean. Small kitchen works well for travelers looking to cook inside of room. Service guy is friendly.
