We had originally planned to stay at the Pear Tree in the village, but this was currently closed (due to change of Landlord and refurbishment). The rooms at the Sun Inn were adequate, clean, with ensuite, tea/coffee making as expected. It was not luxurious, but then we wern't expecting that for the price we paid. We booked a Brewery tour at Hook Norton and decided to stay at The Sun Inn. Three weeks previous to booking, we had a nice sandwich lunch which was nicely presented and fresh, we were fairly impressed. There is parking to the rear and in the front, so plenty of room. My second trip to Hooky, this time for the annual beer fest. Stayed at The Sun Inn again due to its great value, friendly staff & fantastic food. I can't praise it enough & if your in the area you should make it your first choice for food & wine or just a good pint. Chris Warby More

Stayed here after a trip around the Hook Norton brewery in the village, which is well worth a visit. The pub is welcoming and friendly, and the food (evening meal and breakfast) was good and well-prepared. Rooms were basic and in need of a bit of updating, but clean and inexpensive.
