Great location in the woods outside York. We only stayed one night but the bathroom wasn't great. the rest of it was wonderful including the fantastic breakfast. Perfect for one night.

There were large towels and fluffy dressing gowns, all the smelly things to pamper yourself with you could want. The room was not furnished with flat-pac items, but very nice... More

I stayed at the Mohair Farm at Christmas 2011 and loved the place. The proprietors were very kind and welcoming and the room I stayed in was decorated really nicely including Christmas decorations. The Mohair Farm is a classic country B&B - warm and welcoming, comfortable beds, stunning views over the Yorkshire Wolds which is a real treat when you... More

The farm's location is ideal for visiting York and the local countryside. We were made very welcome and were very impressed with the quality of the two rooms, which were elegantly furnished, with a personal touch. The hosts had thought of many extras that visitors would appreciate, such as generous tea, coffee and chocolate making facilities, qood quality magazines, guides... More

One couple went to the wrong door and was told in an abrupt voice by the proprietress to go to the other door to book in. Not a very good welcome! On entering the house there was grubby entrance, a musty odor... More

We are disappointed that you did not enjoy your stay at the Mohair Farm. Thank you for drawing our attention to the loose hand rail, this has now been repaired. Our annual inspection took place four days before your visit. It confirmed our four star rating, and there were no adverse comments on either decor or cleanliness. 'The Mohair Farm... More

Large room ,good variety for breakfast but distinct bathroom problems.Shower tap is either too hot or too cold. Host seems basically disinterested.
