We stayed here as a stopover from Esperance to Hyden.
There was a mouse in our room (saw it scurrying about) which ate up the cookies left in the room for guests. We had to zip up all our luggage. The owner explained that there is a mice plague in the fields and they have since caught the above mouse.
As Lake King is very quiet, we felt unsafe in the room (which did not have a latch). The owner has explained that "Lake King is a very safe town, there is virtually no crime at all. It is a very small and proud farming community."
We didn't see any other units with a car in front of them so it seemed like no one else was staying there (adding on to our paranoia). We eventually parked the car somewhere else for the night so that no one would know our unit was occupied.
When we reached the first apartment we were given, 2 of the beds were not made. The owner was very nice to walk over and make the beds for us.
We tried some pork ribs...
