Having been turned away from the Glenskirlie, just along the road, because we were too late for lunch (at 2.00pm - their choice; their loss; I guess weddings are more important. Don't lie to me about chefs having left at 2.01pm though!) we went in to the Coachman, instead. We've been before, and knew what to expect. And that was... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here as part of one of the Great Deal offers and thought it was amazing value for money. The food was out of this world, by far the best meal out we've had, and we do eat out quite a lot, and the service was equally as good! We both had the haggis and black... More

We thought that we would give this another try on an unfortunate trip through Kilsyth several weeks ago. We were unfortunate as the hotel bar was full (in and out) with extremely roudy football fans with the management seemingly letting them away with murder as long as they were buying alcohol. In addition, a number of them looked below the... More

I have been here twice for family meals. Both organised by someone else. Would not choose to go here again. Food is adequate but the service and attitude of the staff leaves much to be desired. They seem more concerned about jamming people in than actually catering for them. Time to take food and drink orders was a shabby start... More

I was being taken to the Coachman for my dinner for my birthday. Having been before for lunch and found the food and service to be adequate i thought it would hold no problems. We booked for 1930hrs on a Sat evening and on arrival found it to be bursting at the seems. The bar was bustling and the restaurant... More

Have lived in Kilsyth most of my life and have always had a nice meal and good service. Unfortunately though the standards have dropped, the time it takes for food to get to your table is unreasonably slow even a bowl of soup takes about half an hour to get there. The waitresses are all walking around with their hair down... More

Often visit the Coachman Hotel for meals etc the staff are very kind and great people although they need to communicate more about their task and not about gossip or other unnecessary chit chat. I witnessed drinks sit on the end of the bar for almost 10 minutes with more than enough staff working to deliver them to their table,... More

On entering the hotel was met with pleasant helpful staff. The actual room was quite spacious and well appointed. The beds were comfortable and the en-suite well decorated and clean. We booked an evening meal for 8 o'clock. Was seated quickly and ordered our meal. After some 45 minutes still no starter. Spoke with a young waitress who checked with... More
