Didn't stay so can't comment on rooms, but this was one of the nicest pub lunches I've had in a long time! Their ham egg & chips was truly sublime.

Have travelled through Queen Camel a number of times, but never stopped off. Visiting elderly relatives in Yeovil meant this was a convenient stop off near the A303. We were made very welcome, including our dog. Food was very good and there was a lovely welcoming log fire. Could happily have stayed there, but had to go home! We will...

whilst out with a group from the motorcycle club we were looking for somewher for lunch and came across the Mildmay Arms. Not one of your over the top gastro pubs but a good locals pub. We were made very welcome and settled in for a pint of local cider and a lush roast sunday lunch. Just off the A303...

We were looking for a bite to eat on our way from Devon to London and did not want the usual service station stodge. We stumbled upon the Mildmay Arms just of the A303 in the lovely village of Queen Camel. The pub is attractive and the landlady very welcoming. The food is pub fare of a very high quality -...

An ideal hostelry for Leland Trail walkers, the Mildmay Arms in Queen Camel is near the half-way point, a reasonable day's walk from both Alfred's Tower to the north east and Norton Sub Hamden in the south. And a visit does not require a detour from the route as the inn's back door literally opens onto the trail. The Milday...

I have just returned from a week spent in Queen Camel with my husband and 2 daughters. We had a good time touring around beautiful Somerset. We rounded off each day with a meal at The Mildmay Arms, just a gentle stroll from our holiday cottage. The food was excellent, with a good choice of menu, well prepared and presented, no...

Made to feel totally welcome. From reading other reviews am disappointed we weren't able to sample the food as we were attending a wedding nearby. Large room with comfy bed and nice friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was perfectly acceptable and we were offered plenty of choice and refills. Lovely little village and would stay again.

Our second visit and again a most enjoyable experience.Have you eaten here yet? You really should, but only if you like superb food, beautifully cooked, and fine quality wine at a very reasonable price and with a very friendly welcome.
It is indeed a pleasure
to find such a treasure

I have nothing but praise for this establishment. We were a little early for an evening meal, but the staff obliged us with a meal that was magnificent.Proper cooking of traditional food with high quality local ingredients, and the best house red wine I have ever tasted in England in my 67 years! I urge anyone living nearby,or passing-by on the A303...

Looking for somewhere to stop for lunch approximately 18 months ago,
my partner and I found the Mildmay quite by chance . We were so
impressed that we are now regular overnight guests when we are in the
area.
The staff, and in particular the owners, Sue and Jim, always greet us
so warmly. Nothing, absolutely nothing, is too much...
