“Great to see the Bungle bungles”

We were advised by fellow travelers to stay at this caravan park and were not sorry. The location is ideal to break up the trip between Fitzroy Crossing and Kunnunara for a stop over or it is well positioned for a trek through the Bungle Bungles. Just off the access road to Bungle Bungles from Great Northern Highway. Great location to stay the night and have an early start for the challenging trip to the national park, see the sights and return by dusk. This is a brand new caravan park located on a cattle station, Mabel Downs, just outside the Purnululu National Park, Bungle Bungles. Considering the location (wilderness!) and the fact that this is the first tourist season of operation, the park shows lots of potential. The owners are working hard to grass the camping areas, they have built permanent tent sites... More
