The woman at reception was lovely most the time, very helpful. The food was good, quite standard but still nice. The beach was close, and there was a great restaurant/ cocktail bar about 100 yards south down the road called 'Caribe'. Definitely recommend that bar. Rooms were nice, a bit small but still nice. We got a view of the... More

It is right next to Excelsior, the celebrity hotel, and real close to the cinema and basically the center of all things Venice Film Festival. The price was great, the consierge was helpful. The room was very spacious and clean. But there was no elevetor which was a huge setback when you are on a time schedule! Plus, it may... More

I cannot believe all the other satisfactory reviews but our first moments upon entering the hotel were met by a miserable guy on the door who did not so much crack his face let alone smile and that's how he stayed throughout our 7 day stay - both me & my husband are naturally cheerful people so he wasn't meeting... If you're looking for a really inexpensive hotel to stay while visiting Venice, this is a good option. Even though it's located in Lido, not Venice's main island, it's just 10 minutes away by "vaporetto" (the round trip was around 10 euros, including the bus fare from the hotel to the vaporetto pier, if one doesn't want to walk). The... More

My husband picked this hotel because it was close to the beach (50m or less walk) and the price was reasonable. We did not anticipate luxury, and found exactly what we expected given the 2 star rating; a pleasant small hotel, across the road from the beach (although he view was blocked by the outbuilding of the Excelsior hotel). A... More

Cons: - funny smelling rooms -we wanted to go for a walk in the morning,Lobby door was locked at 630 AM and no one is available to open the door until 730 -internet connection is slow and needed help finding keys and is frustrating to call for help -no lift, steep/ small steps, our room was on 3rd floor Pros:... My wife and our 2 children (3 and 5) stayed here for 2 nights after a recent east med cruise. This is a typical 2 star european hotel in terms of its decor and facilities however where it excels in my opinion is the nice modern bathroom and good shower + the very helpful and friendly staff. We all stayed... More

This is a family run 2 star budget hotel which was very friendly, the staff couldn't do enough for us. I shared a twin room and the room was very clean with a modern bathroom. Breakfast is a buffet style and offers a wide choice of different delicious foods. We booked this hotel a couple of months before we went... More

Our family of 6 stayed here last year. A few suggestions for the large families. They don't have interconnecting rooms, so, you can choose to stay in a large room with bunk beds or separate into different rooms. The rooms were clean, but a bit small, even for European standards. The breakfast was good and had a variety of cereals... More

Rivamare is a small, quiet hotel very close to some much grander establishments. Our room was clean, with a good bathroom and a balcony looking out over the Venice Tennis Club – very pleasant. The beach is a short walk away. A (slow) computer in the lobby offers internet at Euros 2.50 for 30 minutes – good luck finding the... More
