I love his place - it has the feel of a very upmarket health club. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and the staff are very pleasant and helpful .... What more do you need ? Certainly good value for money so would definitely recommend this before a premier inn.

I went on a ghost hunt here. The venue was lovely! Each room has its own character. The banquet room and ceremony room are the best. Exposed beams, large open fire places, gorgeous old portraits. The building has loads of character and history too. Just make sure you ask what the code is to get out at the barriers.

As long as you know what you're getting this is a very good place to stay in the area for a night or two, which can otherwise be very pricey at the posh hotels in Marlow and Henley. The rooms are basic but clean, and the gym facilities are excellent and free of charge for guests. I haven't had any... More

We stayed here for a wedding a few weekends ago, we realised that we were not staying in the Abbey and expected basic accomodation. That said, even a barrack room has a certain level of cleanliness which, unfortunately, the accomodation here does not have. We put towels on the towel rail and they came off covered in dust, we moved... More

I stayed for one night in the youth hostel type accommodation whilst attending an event at Bisham Abbey. B&B Very, very basic. There are accommodation blocks (very ugly 60's style blocks) in between the Abbey and the sports centre. The rooms are like uni style halls of residence or a youth hostel, not my cup of tea at all and... More

What a great place this is, easy to find, easy parking, friendly and helpful staff, very clean, good standard of campus style accomodation. Ok, it is not really a hotel but nor is it a B&B but great for staying at for passing through or needing somewhere to stay at bargain prices near Marlow. The room was better than I... More

We needed somewhere to stay for one night while I was filming in Hurley. Bisham Abbey looked very attractive on the website. The price didn't seem too bad for staying in a picturesque old abbey. The shock on arriving was that we were, in fact, staying in a sports centre in youth hostel style accommodation! Nowhere on the website 'Booking.com'... More

Thank you for your feedback, We have made every effort to ensure there is no mistake that we are in fact a national sports centre, which has accomodation onsite. The venues name- bisham abbey- takes its name from the abbey that stands alongside the accomodation (the abbey hosts private functions, conferences and events). It is clear from our general info... I stayed here as it was the venue for some friends' wedding. As a wedding guest a discount was granted and a room came in at a very reasonable price. Breakfast added £7 and was good value. This was taken in the old building itself. Reception was so easy and efficient and I found my room very easily. Rooms are... More

Stayed while attending a friends wedding in Marlow and this place is exactly as described. Don't stay here if you are intimidated by young, fit people !!! ... wall to wall athletes and sportsmen. The accommodation is in blocks on campus, the rooms are basic but clean. HD flat screen television was a bonus. Although the bathroom is shared, my... More

I booked to stay at the Bisham Abbey for a suprise for my partner during the Febuary half term. When looking at the pictures of the Abbey you are led to believe that you are staying in an amazing little country hotel with spa facilities. Before booking online I called the Abbey to ask about what facilities they offered. I... More

On no website or site literature have we ever described the abbey to have the facilities you suggest werer offered to you and I find it incredibly hard to believe that any of our receptionists would have given false information regarding the venue having spa facilities. All our pictures both on this website and others regarding the bedrooms and abbey... More
