We have stayed here twice, so we liked it enough to return. Our first impression was not good. Once we managed to find it! We were disappointed that there was no river view, despite the name. And the tiny village is not very interesting. But the major disappointment was arriving mid afternoon, at about 3'30, to find a printed sign on... More

We stayed at the Auuberge on 24th September, having been there two weeks previously. Like many others we liked Sara and Francis and are sorry that they have gone. The new owners, Sophie and Franck, made us very welcome. The rooms are, as always, neat and clean. On the Satruday evening the dining room was very well patronised. Our meal... More

We found this hotel through the Logis web site and booked directly with the owner Sara Debrach, who happens to be Welsh. When we arrived we were made to feel most welcome and were delighted with the size and quality of our twin bedded room. The highlight of our short stay was dinner in the evening cooked by Francis Debrach,... More

We would divert our route through France at any time to revisit it and would like to spend longer there. The village is delightful and the local countryside beautiful and varied. The evening meal was excellent and memorable. Sara was the perfect hostess. What a discovery!

Yes, the welcome WAS warm. We arrived late in the day after a long drive from CDG airport in Paris. Although it was well after the dinner hour, Sara and staff graciously offerred us a delicious cheese and bread dinner with a terrific (and easonable) bottle of wine. We dined outdoors on a balmy summer evening ---- pretty close to... More

We've been to the Auberge three times as a couple, once with extended family, and soon to travel with kids, as an easy stopover on the way to Rivesaltes. Not so easy to find the first time (the satnav went a bit crazy), but we now have it registered as a "preferred address". Whenever I want to go stay at... More

I was very surprised by the April 2008 review of this auberge. I have not stayed there, so can't speak to any issues regarding the rooms, but have eaten lunch there twice. Granted, the last time was in October 2006 so my experience is not as recent as the previous reviewer's. My wife and I found the restaurant to be... More

This hotel must have truly struggled to achieve its two stars. The welcome we received when we arrived was neither Welsh nor warm. We were persuaded almost instantly we arrived to take the fixed 20 euro meal. We were then pressured to sit and eat this meal straight away – before we had even unpacked. The portions were most certainly... More

Dear both, I'm very sorry to hear that you had such a terrible time in our auberge. We must indeed have been having an extremely bad day! If you happen to travel down our way again I would be most eager to make up for the disastrous first stay and indeed provide a proper Welsh welcome. Lovely spring regards from... More
