We booked this after reading previous reviewers! Oh how disappointing. The rooms are small and dark with tiny bathrooms. Breakfast in a box - not good! Stale pastries and over-ripe fruit. Dinner was OK but rather expensive for what we had. Nobody around in the morning so keys through the front door!

The Fox at Farthinghoe offers contemporary style and old world charm. Excellent value for money. Really comfy bed, loved the breakfast in a basket. The bar/restaurant is really cool, good range of ales/lagers and wines. Recommend you book a table, its a very popular eating place. My only gripe was the tv was impossible to work! but apart from that... More

Booked this B&B as we were working in the area and were pleased with how it looked on their website. When we arrived we were shown to our room which was nicely decorated and clean (apart from the cobwebs). We ate in the pub and found the food to be of a good standard with friendly service. The problem occurred... More

We booked for 2 nights bed and breakfast and an evening meal on the first night. The room was just across from the pub entrance, in a barn conversion, very comfortable, everything worked as it should. The staff are well trained and very friendly, a breakfast hamper was provided which was very generous in quantity and was delivered to our... More

We stayed at the Fox for one night and thought it was excellent value for money. The room was small but comfortable, warm and clean. The pub was characterful and popular, we ate on ladies night and had a three course meal with a glass of wine for about 16.00 each, good quality pub food. We were so impressed with... More

Excellent meal with beautifully served and prepared food. Very comfortable restaurant, crockery and cutlery superclean - excellent selection of wines and superb service. All in all a very enjoyable visit - would recommend and definitely visit again.

Generally OK, not great value for money, a bit shambolically run. Rooms are clean and warm a bit pokey but up to modern standards , however, the big drawback, and what would prevent me staying here again is the fact that there is no cooked breakfast, a continental breakfast is brought to your room the night before in a box... We arrived at the Fox after spending the morning at Hinton airfield & were immediatly welcome & given th ekey to one of the rooms in the converted barn adjacent to the pub. The room kept it's olde worlde charm with it's wooden beams & original thick walls & windows but with more modern additions to the windows. The fittings... More

Beautiful. The Fox offers 4 ensuite rooms located in the old bar that adjoins the main pub building. The names are named after local hunts which I found quirky and very fitting with the name. The rooms retain their original character, beams and fireplace whilst being modern and tastefully decorated. The Fox at Farthinghoe is advertised as letting rooms not... More

We booked a last minute night away that was commutable from Birmingham after work on a Friday. There are 3/4 rooms attached to the delightful pub/gastro pub which are ever so quaint! The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. My only dissatisfaction was the continental breakfast (I am never a fan), but the pub isn't open at this time... More
