My wife and I stayed here for 5 days in early October 2011. The people who run this establishment really understand what the word hospitality means. The food is great, the room was comfortable and the on-suite was all that it was cracked up to be. After 26 hours in a plane and then a a half day in the... More

What can I say. I thought I'd decide to surprise my Wife and judging from the reviews here, I knew that I made the right choice. We both loved the stay, the house is stunning and apparently it is where shakespear wrote midsummer nights dreams here. We stayed at the hermia suite in the barn conversion and it is contemporary... We stayed for one night and had a fabulous time. Ben was very helpful and made sure we had a great time with no issues. The breakfast was excellent, with gorgeous homemade bread and marmalades. The accommodation is excellent, furnished to a very high standard. We hope to return soon. More

What a terrific experience! The house is spectacular, the grounds, beautiful, the breakfasts and dinners (don't miss their meals!) gourmet level and the hosts, incomparable! Ben, the manager, was so terrific, and Nick, the perfect host. We had the most wonderful time and plan on a return stay. Thanks, guys! More

We stayed for one night and were afforded fantastic hospitality. Our room was small but had everything that we needed and was very comfortable. The house ouses history, is expertly furnished and is great if you want to enjoy something a little different. Leave room for the full English breakfast as it is superb. More

I took my mother to Shakespeare House for her birthday and we had the best time. Everything about the house was fantastic, from the impeccable decor right down to all the little details! We had afternoon tea which was such a treat, from the homemade bread in the sandwiches, Victoria Sponge, scones and selection of teas from Fortnum & Mason.... More

We stayed at this guest house as a base for a family wedding in Bicester. We arrived very early but were allowed to check in, shower and we were even given a tray of tea. Our room was in the 'annexe' and it was superbly comfortable and very private. There was a beautiful downstairs area where you could sit, make... More

We had a fantastic stay in our very high class and luxurious room. We had an incredibly comfortable super king size bed and our room had a great shower and very comfortable bath. The highlight was probably Nic our host. He was very welcoming and very accommodating doing all he could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. More

We stayed for a romantic 2 night break and Shakespeare House was perfect. From the wonderful meal on the first night (meaning that neither of us had to drive) and the comfortable rooms with all the extras you might need. To the proximity to Waddesdon Manor and Bicester Designer Shopping Village so that there was plenty to keep us busy. More

As a regular business traveller, the Shakespear House Hotel is the epitomy of being able to find a location and a place to stay that will last in your memories for a long, long time when compared to clinical mainstream hotels with white linen, minimalism, lots of right angles and surly service from people who don't want to be there....
