Lovely location and picture postcard house. The Alpacas were a surprise. The owners have extensively remodelled the garden since these photos were uploaded. Breakfast at the time you specify and delicious. More

Firstly may I say that I haven't been made to feel as welcome in any establishment as we were here. It was so nice to be greeted by friendly, laid-back people. Sarah & Stewart Wilson were the perfect hosts! We stayed at Dukes Place with quite a few members of my family as my niece was getting married in Bishop... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights and would thoroughly recommended it. The breakfast was lovely, the room cosy and the atmosphere laid back and welcoming. I would come back, no doubt about it. More

Stayed at this excellent B and B over last weekend; what a treat. The room was large, spotless and comfortable. A comprehensive and wholesome breakfast, well cooked and presented. They even have alpacas! They also do self-catering. (the owners not the alpacas) The owners Stuart and Sarah are the perfect hosts full of local knowledge. You are within walking distance... More

We had a wonderful weekend in Yorkshire. We were warmly welcomed, given a pot of tea and biscuits in our room which was perfect after a 5 hour journey. The accommodation was excellent - we had the best nights sleep we'd had in ages - must have been the fresh country air! Breakfast was amazing - nothing was too much... More

We have just come back from a great weekend break, made perfect by Sarah at Dukes Place. Nothing was too much trouble- from fresh milk to go with the Decaf tea in our bedroom, to the best cooked breakfast we have had in ages, set up in the living room, so that we and our friends could have breakfast on... Our 5 day stay was fantastic. The new owners had been in charge only 3 weeks when we arrived, they made us and our 3 year old daughter feel so very welcome. Anyone would do well to entrust their holiday with this husband and wife team who have clearly devoted their life to looking after others. More

This is a country house B&B. We travelled in a family group of 5 adults and three small children. Some were outside the main house in a chalet. My wife and I were in the main house. We checked into a comfortable double room, made ourselves at home and went out for the afternoon. When we returned our bags and... More

I stayed here for one night in July when attending a wedding reception at Ripley Castle. Although I was a little early to check-in, I was warmly greeted by Jaki and shown to my room in the main house. It had a wonderful view of grassy fields and was equipped with a double bed (even though there was just me)... More
