Although clean the room was slightly depressing and the whole place felt unwelcoming .The hosts were unfriendly.Breakfast was just adequate with a " little chef style fry".This was not a budget hostel but was poor value for money due to the lack of thought towards the guests .I would not reccommend Upper Ansdore

The setting was great but that is sadly where the positives end The room was dated and just acceptable The breakfast was very disappointing, there was a dog in the room that jumped up at the table, the cuttlery wasn't clean and the cooked breakfast was clearly precooked and kept warm.
