“lovely location, beautiful views”

we stayed for a mid-week short break at this small friendly hotel. The food was very good - with local produce used in an imaginative small menu. Our room was comfortable - it is worth getting a sea view if possible.

“Totally plastic”

Went in for a cream tea. Everything was disappointing. Lovely location but we received plastic scones and whippy cream. Asked for clotted cream as advertised and we were told that they had made the cream for us. Had to make do we with rancid butter. Such a shame.

We have many compliments on our afternoon teas and many return customers for this and it is a shame that this will affect your view of the hotel. What you are paying for is location. It is a quaint hotel right on the beach geared towards weddings. The cottages away from the beach were a bit tired and run down but the rooms with the sea view in the hotel are much nicer albeit more expensive and smaller but in my opinion worth it. Our 5th visit to this hotel, and it is better than ever. Refurbishment to provide dining room and lounge is a great improvement. Food and service excellent. The food, always good was much improved. Will look forward to a return visit as soon as possible.
