A beautiful place. Lots of lovely history attached to this house. Great Food and wine. Excellent Service and all very friendly and welcoming. We'll be back again without a doubt. Would even consider the place for a wedding venue if one of our daughters wanted to get married. More

My husband and myself had a lovely time at Ardtara!! So relaxing - the ideal place to unwind! Valerie greeted us when we arrived and made us feel so welcome. Our room was lovely - an open gas fire in the Winter made it so cosy. Dinner was fantastic and all staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was so... More

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Ardtara on the 8th of December 2011 and it was superbly wonderful. Valerie, Nicola, Geraldine and the rest of the team were the most helpful, diligent and perfectionist staff I have ever worked with. They really made the whole event a roaring success and the cuisine and rooms were perfect. Can't wait... More

Sunday Lunch in Ardtara was wonderful yesterday. The open fires on a chilly afternoon, and the warm welcome from Valerie and the rest of the staff is such a special treat from the usual bland hotel conveyor belt. We take family and friends here for lunch and dinner, special occasions or lazy Sunday lunches. I am fully confident in recommending... More

Ardtara has been a perfect venue for our course. The staff made us feel totally at home, with a welcome that made us feel like friends of the family. We had a meal in the Restaurant the night before the course & the food was to die for! Catering for groups is usually a shabby affair, but not at Ardtara,... More

Ardtara Country House has a real aura of understated luxury. An old country house converted into a small hotel. Each bedroom is unique with lovely antiques all around yet state of the art bathrooms and entertainment. For a meal the restaurant cannot be faulted. A wide selection of quality wines and delicious home-cooked food from an award winning chef. However,... More

If ever there was a reason to turn off the main Belfast to Derry Rd, then this is it. A small village which has nothing more to offer than some history of the linen era and a local shop. On a isde road you will find this country house. As soon as you walk in, you will feel at home.... More

This place is an utter find. There's little to do in Upperlands other than a 10 minute walk to a local shop but it hardly matters. It's 45 mins from Belfast City Airport and a complete delight. The rooms are heavenly, large and have everything you might need. We travelled with a 3 year old and the staff were wonderful... More
