We've just got back from an idyllic five day break and have had the best family holiday in years. Everything was delightful despite the weather. Great base for sightseeing and warm, kind hosts. A credit to featherdown farms! More

We have just returned from the Featherdown Farm at Dolphinholme and cannot wait to go back. I do not normally write reviews, but having read the most recent post (April 2012) about this farm, I felt the need to add a different opinion that was equally current. I took 3 children (7,4 and 22 mths) and they all had an... More

We booked this based on the other reviews on this site and it was simply horrid. We have Featherdowned before, and this didn't compare at all favourably with the other two farms we have stayed on. The children couldn't go anywhere without adult supervision, as the eggs, the pigs, the play barn, the shop, all involved them crossing the car... More

I knew it would be camping or glamping but i didn't appreciate the warm glow and happiness i would get from staying at Dolphinholme Farm. The farm is primarily a goat farm, not being much of a goat lover i was a little dubious. However I have changed after spending many happy moments chatting to the 'girls' in the sheds,... More

A real excape from the rat race. Dolphinholme House Farm offers a totally idyllic place for a real family holiday. Suited to children of all ages it offers a unique experience of staying in a cross between a luxury tent and a wooden chalet. Powered only by a wood burning stove, an oil lantern and candles and no mobile or... More

Someone told me about this concept, I looked at the website and I was hooked; I'd booked a weekend in July in the Dolphinhome Farm in Lancashire within minutes. Let me tell you; I wasn't disappointed, it was one of the best holidays I've been on. I'm not a natural camper (unlike my husband) but do brave the elements under... More

It was absolutely brilliant here. The baby goats were gorgeous. I loved it when baby goats nibbled my finger. I made a good friend and liked playing with my sister. Me and my sister had a great adventure climbing in the forest bit. (By Flo aged 7). When we arrived we were a bit hesitant about the outside appearance of... More
