We are local and ate at the Bay Horse for the first time under its new management . The staff were so welcoming and allowed us to sit wherever we liked to eat our meal. I have called in here a couple of times for lunch and the food cannot be faulted.This is not a country pub serving basic pub food, yet it is very reasonably priced. A warm welcome was received on both occasions from mine host.

Stopped in one lunch time for a quick drink. Was so impressed came for a meal the following eve. We were staying at nearby Matfen Hall so got a taxi. Menu impressive and fantastic quality and value for money. Staff very helpful. Give it a try!
