Amazing house - I can't wait to have an excuse to go back. The room was beautful, the breakfast excellent and the owner very welcoming. All very good value too. I wish we had more time to explore the house and the garden. A must for anyone visiting the area.

Returned to Compton House - stayed there once before, were looking for an excuse to go back. Welcomed by Patricia as old friends, tea in front of the fire on arrival, stayed in the Panel Room, unique in many ways, breakfast in front of the fire in the morning. Looking for the next excuse to return in the summer.

A lovely weekend (groupon deal) Patricia is a lovely host, her house is fabulous, beautiful furniture, decor, lovely breakfast dining room, great silver wear, rooms very well put together, character, a lovely feel of history in a great setting. Views at back of house gorgeous, garden well presented a gem, throughly enjoyed our stay here.

Just spent 2 nights at the wonderful elegant hotel. The owner patricia could not do enough for us. Food good and the chine service was delightful. I felt like Lord Grantham in the breakfast room, so wonderfully English. Axbridge itself is beautiful and a must for a visit. Highly recommend.

We bought a group on deal, but was worth alot more. Lovely lady Patricia couldn't do enough but not over powering. Food was excellent( breakfast). So much character and so comfortable. Would love to go back in late spring or summer. Views to die for from the back of the hotel. Highly reccomend.
