Went to a festival at this "ecolodge" and was extremely disappointed in the accomodation and food. We paid 150euros per night for a "cabana" that was basically a run down shed, the window didnt close properly, there were mice droppings all over, lots of dust, the door didnt close without locking it, and the mosquito nets were full of holes. And to add insult to injury, the food was awful, all premade storebought stuff, very rationed, (one piece of lousy white bread per person for breakfast). The producers of the festival were basically scammed by the Finca, which promised a "glamping and healthy experience". Do not be fooled by the "eco" "glamping" marketing. This place is basically a new agey scam.

We went to the finca for the Festival Música Medicina in May 2023 and rented a cabaña (hut) for 150 euros per night with full board. Even though we told them in advance that we were coming with a 6-month baby, the hut was not cleaned, it had rat poop everywhere, cobwebs and huge spiders, and mountains of old dust. There were holes in all the walls, windows and door that allowed mosquitos to fly freely inside. The mosquito net above the bed was full of huge holes and the mosquitos would just fly inside, get trapped there and bite us all night. I spent the entire night fighting mosquitos and protecting our baby. The food was shockingly bad! Breakfast was 1 piece of bread per person - rationed - the staff made sure no one took more than their 1 allotted piece of bread. Lunch and dinner were terrible, made with the cheapest and worst quality ingredients. 150 euros per night for this level of accommodation and this food is absolutely ridiculous. It was the biggest waste of money and energy and made our whole experience very hard. We left after the first night - even though we paid for 2 nights - because we couldn't bear to sleep in that hut again and go hungry one more day.

In beautiful surroundings, with comfortable lodgings, friendly staff, a food garden, a pool, and the river, we were relaxed, but also excited and happy to be there. For me, there is no better choice for a successful wedding than Finca al Limon.

I always try to write a positive review and try to keep any criticism constructive with this in mind I waited for a few weeks before writing this. This was supposed to be a weekend of relaxation and good food with friends and family coming together in celebration for my little sister and soon to be husband’s wedding. This was her dream, Spain, beautiful setting, ecolodge with a choice of accommodation to suit her guests different needs and most importantly of all serve fantastic food as they are definitely big foodie’s. Well that’s not what happened. Bare in mind we tried to keep any problems away from my sister to minimise any stress. Upon arrival my sister and I were taken to our apartment which was just outside the entrance behind the kitchen. We opened the door and found a covered pergola with a table and chairs, one bedroom was an old 1960s caravan which had been stripped out and had a double mattress on the floor for a bed. a chest of drawers and a tree growing through the window. That was my big sisters room so that’s her tale to tell. The 2nd bedroom which I slept in had a lovely fairy style glass door and the outside walls had planters (if you look at the resort website it’s the picture used for advertising green living) opening the door move the hanging curtain out the way and you enter a shed…. Although my shed at home is a palatial in comparison. I just had to remember “it’s an ecolodge, it’s rustic” I had a double bed, chest of drawers, some hooks, an air conditioning unit which was too noisy to use and a mosquito net that was no where near the bed to be usable. There was also a separate building that housed the bathroom with a sliding door that didn’t slide unless you swung it outwards so you needed to keep it open unless you was inside. Although for some reason our toilet wasn’t fixed to the floor and every time I tried to use it the whole thing moved, my screams did amuse my big sister. I did get some payback as she had the privilege of using the shower first which had its own quirks as well. We arrived on the Friday afternoon and tapas were laid out, we had drinks from the bar and lazed by the pool. Friday evening get together was a buffet pizzas in a variety of flavours, brilliant concept as it covers all tastes. Only problem was every pizza looked the similar, over cooked some with degrees burnt blackness so it became a game of sorts who could guess what was what. The vegetarian option had A4 bit a paper in front of it saying “vegetarian” on clue to what was on it though and it looked the same as all the others!! They did replenish the pizza several times but they seemed to get worse as the evening wore on. Also this was when we found out from the bride that even though the resort said they would decorate the venue it was now a problem for them. So as big sisters got everyone together the next morning and got it done. Had an absolutely fantastic ceremony, the bride looked breathtaking, the bridesmaids were beautiful and groom and groomsmen looked hungover. Everything was perfect. Until it wasn’t…. We sat down for meal, the starter was already waiting for us, it wasn’t exactly what I thought we were getting as there wasn’t any avocado but thought problems can occur. I had opted for the Argentinian bbq, 3 different cuts of beef served with courgette and potato. What I got was fridge cold carrots covered in cumin, a cold baked potato cut in half, a bit of cold over cooked blackened frying steak and blackened chicken what wasn’t cooked inside which was also cold. The meal became memorable for the wrong reasons which is extremely disappointing as I know great thought went into choosing the menu. My sister and husband had previously travelled to the resort, tasted the food and was so impressed with it. So I felt that the resort/owners let my sister down. One of the main reasons that she chose this resort was because of the food they promised to provide. So the whole ethos of relaxation went straight out the window. Weddings get stressful, it doesn’t help though if the venue you choose gives you the problems. Especially when the owners are also the ones to cause them. I found Ma to be rude and belligerent and Paul was just too busy doing his things. Thankfully the good friends and family part of the celebration came in to fruition.

I feel somewhat sad reading the previous review as we just didn't receive the same experience for our wedding, which was also in September. Everything just seemed very disorganised and left to last minute which meant my husband spent most of the day when our guests arrived, tidying things up and putting things away that were left out from the previous wedding. We feel like it really was a case of over promise and under deliver too. There were so many basic things that just weren't up to standard, from cots that were held up by cable ties, to toilets not secured to the ground properly (our pregnant bridesmaid nearly fell off it in the night), lights not working and leaking air conditioning. My mother even found a dirty pair of knickers on the grounds the day our guests arrived. We feel all this could have been avoided if we were allowed to come to the venue sooner and if the staff had more than a day to prepare. We had 49 people stay, including children and opted for a tapas lunch which was delicious and worth every penny but the pizzas in the evening were burnt and the salad consisted of iceberg lettuce which is such a shame given the large veggie patch they have on site. We opted for an Argentinian BBQ and were so disappointed when we were served cold cheap beef steak and left over chicken instead of the three cuts of beef we were promised. They also re-used canapes instead of providing the vegan option for our starter. The Fish option was also very different to what we tasted at our menu tasting and also served cold. We really wanted a rustic wedding and the location does provide this- its a beautiful spot and could be absolutely amazing if the owners attitude was different. The staff were all very nice and Miguel and Camilo and his wife were excellent! However, the owners just became unapproachable and towards the end, it just felt that everything boiled down to money. Unfortunately, we had an issue with our bank which meant that our final payment was delayed due to the Queens Funeral (added bank holiday) and a banking error which our bank explained to the venue. The venue were not at all understanding and threatened to kick all of our guests out of the venue the morning after our wedding and refused to serve them breakfast until they had been reasoned with. All of this was no fault of our own and our bank explained this to them. We even received threats to report us to the police. We did raise all our concerns with the venue once we had returned home and they agreed on their shortcomings but refused to provide us with any financial compensation. Whilst we had a beautiful day surrounded by our amazing friends and family and the venue looked amazing, the owners created an enormous amount of stress for us and acted woefully unprofessional. We hope they can learn from this and no one else experiences the same as we have.

We got to have an amazing stay here to celebrate our friends 40th Birthday from recommendation. Wow… we were not disappointed, beautiful hosts, beautiful setting and scenery. Bonus not far from airport and local shops. Our teenage kids loved it here. So much space to explore and a pool to have fun. Amazing BBQ area with stunning seating area, I think we fitted at least 25-30 of us. Our hosts were amazing and went go above and beyond to accommodate. All the rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Definitely looking to go back for a weekend away or a longer stay with our family. If you get a chance to participate in a yoga session, I highly recommend.

Wow wow wow! Honestly one of happiest, best weekends of my life. Not only was I there to watch my beautiful daughter get married to our wonderful son in law but literally everything was perfect. The hosts of Finca Al Limone, Paul and Ma were truly amazing. They work so hard and along with Josh and Hollys incredible organisational skills it was the perfect venue, wedding, jist everything. Paul and Ma’s staff were so lovely and professional and the food was honestly perfect. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart ❤️ Sharon (very proud mother of the bride) x I would recommend this venue to anyone for just about anything. 5*

Finca Al Limon is a special place and we are very grateful to everyone at the Finca for such an amazing wedding. We would highly recommend this place as a wedding venue. Everything was good value for what we got and everyone at the Finca was flexible, friendly and very helpful which makes a big difference. It is not a 5 star hotel and is quite rustic but that is what we wanted and our atmosphere was a relaxed and fun party. We had a 3 day wedding with 150 guests on the main wedding day and 100 on the second day and it was so much fun and everyone of all ages loved it. In summary, great value and very highly recommended. Great place to stay for motorbike off-road training and tours at Enduropark Andalusia. The Finca is situated at about 40km from Malaga airport and situated in the countryside surrounded by local farms. Nice pool, excellent breakfast and extremely friendly staff!

This venue is something a little bit different, being slightly quirky (in a good way !) and it's location in the countryside. We were a party of 65 people attending a family wedding, so we booked the whole venue for 4 days. There is a range of accommodation on site, from small apartments to tents, and everything in between, which suits all ages. Having full access to a large kitchen and dining area, meant you could help yourself at any time to food and drinks, which adds to the informality of the place and is very useful for larger gatherings. The pool and bar area are large and with plenty of shady spots available for those who want it, and many comfortable sun loungers. The owners are very friendly, popping back to check all was going well, or if we had any extra requirements without being intrusive. Would highly recommend Finca al Limon Ecolodge
