We stayed at this wonderful hotel on the first day of our walking holiday. As soon as we entered we knew we were in for a treat. Our beautiful room was filled with antiques and the view from the balcony was great. Good food & wine in lovely surroundings and all for such a reasonable price. All in all the... More

A truly wonderful hotel and it's most valuable asset, Sophie and Luis, were absolutely fantastic hosts. We were on an 8 week holiday from Australia and our 2 night stay at Can Garay , as part of a cycling tour, was one of the highlights of our trip. Our room was lovely as were the meals. On the morning of... More

Thank you so much for your kind words and for being the perfect guests. We enjoyed your company enormously and it was a real pleasure to help you out on that rainy day. We really do appreciate your feedback and are so glad you enjoyed your stay at the hotel. Hope to see you next time you're over from Australia! More

We had a great stay at Hotel Can Garay. The building is a gorgeous family home that has been converted to an inn. Both the interior and exterior are really special, tall windows and dark wood paneling on the inside and a beautiful garden in which to sit. Antiques fill this lovely hotel. It is within walking distance from the... More

This is a family home partly converted for use a hotel. It still has the feel of a home although it is not a "B&B" but proper lodging. We were on a bicycle tour and this was a two-night stay in this small village. Excellent food and wine and a real feel of the area. Wifi (fast connection) was provided.

Most of the reviews I've just read sum up the hotel really well. In fact, forget the world "hotel". It isn't really a hotel, its a very big home that you somehow feel attached to as soon as you go in. Difficult to explain. If you like faceless accommodation with all the silly things that make up most five star... More

A unique Art Nouveau building lovingly restored by Sophie and Luis and made into a small, intimate and friendly hotel. A great welcome from Sophie, and some of the best food in Catalonia from Luis in the no choice set evening meals. Sophie has created an interesting wine list A good place from which to explore the lovely countryside of... More

This art deco hotel is full of interest and beauty, it is peacefull with walks around, mountain pools and waterfalls to swim in, and then come back to a meal in the garden, under the lights in the trees. Bliss!!!

Perfect place for relaxing (and, for us, recovering from 9-hour jet lag before taking on Barcelona) in the beautiful Catalonia countryside. Tastefully converted to small, intimate hotel by fourth generation owners of the family house, who take pride in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Rooms are comfortable and attractive, grounds ample and pleasant for reading and relaxing. Breakfast and... More

Sophie and Luis extend a warm welcome to their beautiful 'modernista' villa surrounded by a large garden with children's play area. Built in 1906 and furnished throughout with splendid antiques the house is really quite something. A wonderful staircase with an exquisite stained glass window leads up to six delightful bedrooms, all different, each with a view of the surrounding... More
