Just returned from a weekend at this hotel. Overall it's very good. Very nice food. However, we had quite a small room on the 1st floor on the front of the building which I personally found to be noisy from the busy road. Even so, it wouldn't deter me from staying again. We didn't stay in this hotel as we were travelling with a young baby so chose a lodge at the local caravan park. However we did experience the food and hospitality that the sun hotel has to offer and as such would recommend this establishment whole heartedly. While staying in Bowness for the Easter break we enjoyed the evening meals at the Sun Hotel on 2 nights. The food was excellent, reasonably priced and the service and staff were all excellent. Will definetly call again on our next visit to the Lakes. Thank you Robert and Colette Ralston More
