“Handy place to stop on the way to the Gorges du Tarn”

Having left the Millau bridge we were heading for the Gorges du Tarn. Slowly passing through Riviere-sur-Tarn I spotted this hotel, it’s a Logis hotel so that gives some confidence that it will be ok, and it was. Rooms were a little small but the view from the window to the mountains more than made up for it. We dined... More

The roadside hamlet of Rivière du Tarn probably won't be on too many people's itineraries... we ended up here on a cycling tour between Avignon and Toulouse. Hôtel Clos d'Is the only place to stay here. It looks a bit ramshackle from the outside, but once inside it proved to be quite a comfortable, no-frills place to spend the night.... More
