Na Na Chart Resort in Ban Krut is really a recommendation. We arrived in the middle of the night, very much later than announced but they welcomed us so friendly and directly offered us to get a later breakfast. All bungalow, beach front and beach side, are close to the beach, clean and of a good standard. Pool was perfect, long beach to take walks, perfect place for relaxation. Staff is very helpful and the manager's English is very good, service was perfect. Scooters were organized immediately so that we could start touring for a beautiful temple, markets, massages, everything there to enjoy your holidays. As there is no nightlife, the village is busy but not too crowded. Sea food was amazing and pretty cheap. Bigger towns such as Chumpon or Hua Hin are about an hour drive, caps or train. Even though we were a little bit unlucky with the weather, we really enjoyed our stay and will drop by when backpacking to the south again!…

If you want to relax on The Beach all day and read etc, this The perfect place to do it. The staff including both the receptionist and the kitchen/restuarant were very helpful. There is good food from the kitchen, and if you have certain wishes to Add og or change in the menu this Can easily be arranged. The receptionist is helpful and she arranged cheap rental of motorbike and got us a taxi to the station The day we were leaving. The room was clean and made up everyday, where drinking water was filled up in the fridge, shampoo and soap was refilled, new towels where provided and The bed was made. The only minus was that the bed madras was hard and warned down and should have been replaced a long time ago. I would recommend this hotel!

The beach is great and mostly deserted. One can take long walks and ponder the meaning of life while waves pound the shore. There are 3-4 kilometers to Ban Krood where one can rent bicycles for tours around the area. The resort is, however, a bit of a let-down as the water in the pool was not kept clear and clean, rooms were not cleaned on a daily basis, and the WiFi was very unstable.

Went in June 2013 and were the only guests and therefore had 6 miles of perfect beach to ourselves. The temple on the hill is walking distance (~30-40 mins) and relatively easy to find your way. It is free to enter (need trousers) and we made a perfect adventurous afternoon of it. IF you are a party animal teenager who wants a full moon party vibe: there is nothing here for you. (Go destroy the environment and yourselves on the southern beaches of Thailand.) IF you are looking for a classic slice of heaven with not another soul in a 30 mile radius: Stay here and enjoy every second of it. We did. Originally went for the cheaper wooden huts but then got the more expensive seafront villa/cabin room and all shared 2 double beds and 2 extra mattresses (6 in one room). WARNING: do not ask for extra mattresses they are very thin and uncomfortable, even for children. Just get extra rooms instead. Good Showers. Food was the only let down. Basic breakfast but dinner good. One of our favorite places in Thailand. Hope this place stays deserted when i return in a couple years.…

Wonderful beachfront bungalows, Thai-style. Great value for the price. We got a family bungalow truly on the beach, and next to the restaurant/pool-area. During low-season (july-august is rainy season, but this area of Thailand is probably your best bet at this time) the place is more or less deserted... I counted a max of 8 other people on the beach. A few objectives on the resort: Service is helpful, but also very relaxed. Pool is ok, with some semi-sharp edges (our kids didn't notice it however). Rooms are good at the price, typical bungalow with Aircon, no closet and a low-key bathroom. Beds are good size, but very thai - meaning hard on springs. The restaurant is good, don't expect much from the bar. Ping-pong, footsie and basketball is available, but the real attraction is the beach (and the pool according to my kids). The service was very helpful, scooters are available for rent, and taxi-tours to different sites can be arranged. Make sure to go the Wat Thongchai, it is beautiful with stunning views of the bay. The beach is great, but beware (in July) of sea urchins during low-tide. Lots of craps, conch and fish, no corals in range. Our only bad experience was with some stray dogs.…
