I spent five nights in this gorgeous bed and breakfast in the picturesque town of Dolceacqua. Monika made me feel completely at home. The property has been tastefully decorated in a manner that makes it feel brand new and modern, while still homey and in tune with its history and surroundings. Monika went out of her way to ensure a... More

Wonderful B&B, tastefully decorated and located in a unique town. Very nice rooms with access to a rooftop patio, with view of the town. Directions to: Park in the lot by the main square, accessed via a small driveway just as the river turns away from the immediate side of the river. Spots are limited and be prepared to wait.... More

Talking Stones is a gorgeous B&B for people who love B&B's which have been decorated with respect to the environment. Monica has renovated Talking Stones with taste and it fits in well with the beautiful little village of Dolceacqua. Ideal place if you want to relax and are in need of peace and quiet or else close to the border... More

We found Monika's place last minute while online between flights in an airport. The name of the place pulled me in immediately. It was a wonderful surprise. Of course nothing is an accident, so we found this little gem and the proprietress to be very interesting, accommodating and charming - a true reflection of the town and the history of... More

My husband and I traveled to Italy for our 5 yr anniversary and spent a week in Dolceacqua. We were married in Bordighera and had a short glimpse of Dolceacqua after the wedding, and we could not wait to return to explore this beautiful place. The accommodations were perfect for us. We had just a little bit of a challenge... More

Agree with everything previous reviewer has written. I highly recommend this B&B. Hot tip: Buses don't run very frequently to Dolceaqua from Ventimiglia so check bus timetable carefully if using public transport. More

We stayed two nights with Monika and it was a very pleasant surprise. Her charming house is only minutes from the main square where there is a choice of restaurants (try Il Borgo) and bars. The house is tall and narrow with plenty of stairs to keep you fit, so try not to have too much heavy luggage. The rooms... More

Talking Stones B&B in Dolceacqua was the perfect place for our weekend getaway for rest and relaxation. Our room was airy and clean and felt like we were in a light stoned cave which we loved. The terrace on the roof was a great place to relax with a book or to just take in the sights. Monika, the owner... More

Talking Stones, Dolceacqua Monika, a lovely German lady who fell in love with Dolceacqua twenty years ago, provides a personal and warm welcome to guests however late - very, in our case - they arrive. A brief walk through the Medieval winding streets of the romantic Dolceacqua, you enter the old stone house lovingly converted in a hip and modern... More

Great stay in a lovely little town! Talking Stones is a beautiful building inside made of stones from the river. The terrace was a wonderful place to relax with a glass of wine or enjoy breakfast. The people of the town were very friendly. The town itself is small and very relaxing. The owner was very accommodating, the rooms spacious,... More
