At the top of the pretty wine village of Spitz on the Wachau, this basic, somewhat old-fashioned hotel was better than I imagined from looking at their website. The twin room with shower (their cheapest) was spacious and warm if old fashioned in furnishings.
The typical Austrian buffet breakfast (complete with homemade Apricot jam, called Marillen Marmelade in the area)...
