My husband and I were very nervous about our stay in Quebec City. We heard that staying in the old city was very run down and very pricey and this is why we ended up choosing this bed and breakfast and we are SO glad we did. This B&B is located about 10 minutes from the old Quebec City (easily... More

Gracious hospitality is the priority at Au Bois Joli. Jean and Georgette's home has been updated with modern and comfortable furnishings providing a restful and pleasant atmosphere. The neighborhood is quiet yet near to some excellent dining and attractions in the old city. The delicious breakfast was beautifully presented and finished with Jean's amazing maple syrup pie. They also provided... More

We spent two nights in Quebec to celebrate the end of 2012 in Jean and Georgette's cozy house! It was so beautifully decorated in a festive theme. We felt welcomed the moment we walked in the house. Jean greeted us and walked us around the house. There is free wireless connection in the entire house and we parked our car... More

All around the best B&B we experienced. In our 15 years of travels, my husband and I stayed at many B&Bs and Au Bois Joli offered the perfect experience. We stayed 3 nights in Room #1 which was large, comfortable and elegantly decorated. Breakfast every morning was delicious and the variety from the multiple courses made it that much more... More

Very comfortable B&B with good breakfasts and a nice lounge to relax in. However, on two of the three days we were there workmen started on an extension soon after 7am and we were not pre warned about this so there was no lie in on two mornings. This did mar an otherwise pleasant stay.

Our experience with TripAdvisor is very recent as we have just recently registered and we are only getting familiar with its functioning. Au Bois Joli is new in the hotel/B&B business in Quebec city and since opening in 2010, its occupational rate has maintained at the highest level. To the point where we have decided to build an extension to... More

It is really a B&B from the books, and Georgette and Jean are very warm and friendly. They are also very generous with information (eg there is an information folder in the room) and small gifts (eg chocolates, a bottle of water). We had room number 2, which is not very large, but comfortable. The bed is super, the pillows... More

On our tour of Eastern Canada we came twice to this place. The first time we stayed in the smallest room, but is was well furnished. The basin and the toilet were in a small room, too - but it was OK. The shower was rather big, separated from the room by a glass-wall only - well, we did not... More

We stayed 2 nights at Georgette & Jean's B&B, located in a calm neighbourhood but still close to the city center. Restaurants and shops are within a 5 minute walk. The hosts have been very helpful in providing useful information about the city, sights and customs. Also, they prepared an itinerary with their favourite walks, restaurants and coffee stops. We... Sorry for the mixed language but it seems to fit. Georgette and Jean are marvelous hosts and provide a perfect warming environment for a stay in Quebec. Jean is full of recommendations and directions and Georgette provides a fantastic breakfast. And Jean's Maple pie is the perfect end to the breakfast. We were in Chambre 1 with the Jacuzzi tub... Located 10 minutes by driving from Quebec City downtown, this B&B offers the tranquility of its privileged location (residential area) while remaining reasonably close to the old town (also quickly reached by bus - not experienced). Our room (chambre n°2) was very clean and sober, kindly decorated and of correct size. It was equipped with a huge, luxurious and clean... More
